Re: Methods for Inputting Data into TM1 Cube
Hello All, What are the different method to input the data into tm1 Cube? I'm particularly interested in understanding if it's possible to input data into a TM1 Cube directly from an Excel file(not .csv and not .cma) using a process. Has anyone attempted this? Thanks!!! TM1 cannot natively read the...

Re: CubeSecurity and ProcessSecurity
Hi! I have a user who has permissions to processes Y, but not to a cube named X. The Y process has a cellputs('text','X cube','dim1','dim2') command that it can run, so it can essentially write a cube that it doesn't have rights to. Is that OK? How could this be avoided? Thanks in advance! Process ...

Re: Different row heights in reports?
Hi, I try to build an nice looking input dialog. So I want (Excel-Style) an input cell and a very small row below to have a delimiter for the input fields below. Unfortunately all settings belonging to row height in the pattern rows are ignored. The height of the first row in the data area is used ...

Considering that is a Revelwood tool, and not something from IBM, you should probably contact them.

Mirantis and PAW
Does anyone have any experience with running Mirantis Container Runtime (MCR) with PAW? MCR is the new name for Docker since it was purchased by MIrantis. Does it just plug in seamlessly with PAW? PAW comes with the Docker install as part of the Powershell script for installing PAW but you can't run...

Re: Transferring and Summing Data from cube to another
Hi Everyone, A quick explanation of what I want to do: I have a cube of investments with a dimension "invart1", which I want to summarize in a separate cube. I understand I need to use a process to do so, is that correct? Or is there al although a way with a rule? I just want to start in ...

Re: Failed to open temp file for processing tm1rawstore.<DateTime>
Hello, Got good news from me. The tm1rawstore error no longer occurs on our production servers. I discovered on our backup server, with the exception of DFS Management which I had previously disabled, there was a task scheduler that copied files from the production server to the backup server still...

Re: Dynamic Rpt - Supress Rows Based on Measure in 1st Col only
Hi there I have a Dynamic Report with multiple nested rows, and 2 Measure columns. For illustrative purposes, example as follows: Row Dim1 Row Dim2 Row Dim3 Col Measure 1 (e.g. Sales Value) Col Measure 2 (e.g. Description) What I am looking for is a way for the report to run and suppress zeros base...

Re: ODBC Connector For SQL Server Using Active Directory Service Account
What account does the TM1 service run under? In order to use Windows Authentication for your SQL server connections in TM1 the TM1 service must run under that account. It cannot run under the local system account. Also, the ODBC setup on the TM1 server must be set to use Windows Authentication. If y...

Re: Calculation inconsistency after using a DB
Jorge, the bottom line is this has been the behavior in TM1 since pretty much when the tool was first created. It was initially built for accounting-related apps and this is not normally an issue for budgeting and planning. If you just explain to your users that this is a limitation in the tool, tha...

Re: Dynamic Reports, Asymmetric Column Headers, Excel and TM1 Web / PAW
This looks to be what I would expect based on past experience. I am assuming that Actual and Budget are in one dimension, the time periods are in another and the accounts are in yet another. Since you've brought both April YTD and Full Year into the view, both Budget and Actual, as well as a subset ...

Re: Feeder issue... Can someone help
I don't understand the need to feed the Standard Hours measure in the Labor cube. The only issue you'll encounter if you don't feed it would be possible zero-suppression of that measure whenever someone was browsing the Labor cube. It's really easy to get around that problems with a few reporting tr...

Re: The AWS Cloud no good, very bad performance
If the type and number of cores is the same I would suspect hard drive issues, i.e., SAN. Are you sure your drive space is in the same region as your server? Even in cube to cube copies TM1 is going to utilize drive space in the memory temp file. As to Architect, at least from an Admin standpoint, c...

Re: Learning TM1 / Planning Analytics
Although TM1 can be used for a number of things, the true sweet spot for the tool is planning and forecasting (FP&A) and other accounting/financial purposes. In that vein, in only makes sense that a developer that has a keen grasp on the business purpose for FP&A and knows accounting princip...

Automated Server Restart - IBM Cloud
Has anyone tried and gotten to work doing an automated server restart on an IBM Cloud TM1 server using a Net Start and Net Stop command? I've tried working on it and I can get the command to execute without any error messages but nothing happens. I'm theorizing that it isn't working either because 1...

Re: check feeders not working properly in PAL 2.0.9.4
I concur. I can't remember exactly when check feeders stopped working (we're on the IBM Cloud) but it's been at least a year. Luckily, it's pretty easy to tell when a cell is not fed so it isn't that big of a deal.

Re: Combine ViewExtractSkipConsolidatedStringsSet and ViewExtractSkipCalcsSet
According to the documentation, the behavior you are seeing is the expected outcome. If you skip consolidated values via ViewExtractSkipCalcsSet then you are not going to be able to see any string values from those intersections in your view. The only options I know of would be to 1) not skip consol...

Re: TI View Execution vs MDX View
The TI process seems to execute the view as if all dimension are nested on rows. Even though in a TI you don't specify this, it will execute a very large view of data and return the records flattened out. This is the way a TI process works when a cube view is the data source. You get one record for...

Hi, its not directly a TM1 question, but i hope its ok to post it here.. In our company we use ApacheDS as LDAP for Cognos CA and use CAM security to sso into TM1. Now our company has some changes in the unit structure and we want to correct namings and Unit Numbers in the LDAP, this ends with a ne...
