Re: DEL Command is not working in TM1 Process

Hi,

You don't need a BAT file, you just add that code into the TI process, and forget about the batch file.

Simply running the TI should do the deletion.

Re: DEL Command is not working in TM1 Process

Hi, You say you want to delete all files in the folder, but when I read the rd docs, it states: You can't delete a directory that contains files, including hidden or system files Did you consider using powershell? So this in your TI instead: sDelCmd = 'Powershell Remove-Item -LiteralPath "Folde...

Re: String measure value to consolidation level

Hi, You didn't say where the report was being displayed, PAW cube view, PAX? How is the status of an asset being updated? Is it by the user or is it imported from source system? If it is updated by the user you could use a TI process to update the consolidated string measures at the same time the us...

Hi,

a bit, well a lot, more information might help. For a start, you could show us the actual formula!

Re: Dependent dynamic picklist not recalculating

Then the picklist rule in the control cube can use the selected month and return a picklist based on that
Did I miss the bit where a month was selected? :?

Re: Dependent dynamic picklist not recalculating

It depends on what you think is easiest but I would go for the one subset per month element. How would this work exactly, given that the time dimension appears to be a continuous combination of year and month. And that in the images posted the need appears to be to extend across multiple years? It ...

Re: Dependent dynamic picklist not recalculating

Hi, So what exactly is the problem? Are there no elements showing in your dropdown list or the wrong elements or something else? One Observation, your MDX references a cube value but only references one dimension within that cube? Some questions, Have you tested your MDX in the subset editor to chec...

Hi, instead creating default views for relevant cubes using each users preferences through mdx subsets. Obviously, I hope I didn't give the impression that I was recommending this be a fundamental feature of developing solutions! As I said, I can hardly ever see a use case for these defaultmembers, ...

Re: Equivalent of TM1User() function in Rules

Hi, I am currently working my way through becoming acquainted with hierarchies in Planning Analytics, hopefully in time for when they become really useful, i.e. when the new PAX report becomes available. In looking at hierarchies it took my eye that to retrieve a value you don't need to select all d...

Re: SubsetElementExists, Aliases and Principal Names

Hi, Is it a bug? Hmmmmmmmm. Not sure. I only say not sure because the issue would only really be relevant to developers. And as long as they are aware of it I guess they can code for it. It would be a 100% bug if the 'normal' users were ever presented with a message saying Italia does not belong in ...

Unfortunately even adding the slash in manually doesn't QUITE work because it renders the page without CSS (or so it appears to me).
Try with 2 slashes, so:

Re: Learning TM1 / Planning Analytics

In your rules, split wildly complicated nested IF statements into separate rules and gate through them using STET or CONTINUE as necessary. This potentially improves performance. I would say that in my experience the opposite is true. Avoid too many continue statements would be my advice. But not a...

Re: Time formats in cube views

Hi,

Could you create a string measure and construct it by taking the 1234 and combining it with the colon and the converted decimal part?
Then use this in PAW for display purposes. No idea how this would look but only thing I can think of.

In your original post there was only one element and one hierarchy. I added the rolling eyes in my reply because I suspected you had not given us the full story!

But it is good that you managed to find a solution.

Re: Calculation within the same dimension

Hi,

This is so incredibly easy that I wonder if you have stated your requirement correctly!

Create a consolidation of all other departments (i.e. exclude Department 1) and then do as follows:

Code: Select all

['Department 1', 'Department %']=N:

100 - ['Other Departments total', 'Department %'];

Hi, Great advice from Steve but, My advice would be don't even attempt it on your own, get in some expert help and shadow them so you pick up the fundamentals. Building a production model as part of your training will not end well, or it will take a lot longer than you anticipate, or it will not mee...
