Hi, Didn't the way PAX was installed completely change after PAW version 65, and don't IBM recommend that PAX should not be out of sync with PAW, something like within 3 versions? Doesn't explain the reason why it works on windows 10 I know but I would be interested to see what IBM respond with. Maren
Hi, Slice exports the data in the view to excel and allows for write back to the view/cube (via DBRW formulas). Note that the values will be the current values and not the values at the time of the slice. Snapshot exports the data in the view to excel as static values. Need excel for snapshots. Need...
Hi, Who said anything about poor admins wading through the data :D There are a few ways to automate using TI etc but I was thinking to myself that I would never rely on aliases if I were designing this and would have a code id, and then I noticed in your last screenshot that there is a code id of so...
It is Friday so bear with me but I would have said either change the Job Type in the Employee cube to be the updated alias or use one of the aliases to store the old job type value.
Hi, I am creating some security rule which says if the parent is 'WRITE' then make the child 'WRITE' too. I am using the following: []=S: IF( ELLEV('Cost Centre', !Cost Centre) = 0 & DB('}ElementSecurity_Cost Centre', ELPAR('Cost Centre', !Cost Centre,1),!}Groups) @= 'WRITE', 'WRITE', 'NONE'); T...
Yes I had come to the conclusion that using the element attributes cube as the source or looping over the elements to get the alias were the alternatives.
Hi, When I use a Dimension Subset as a data source in a TI process the preview does not show the alias name even though the subset has the alias set. And when reading the data it doesn't show the alias either. Is it a limitation that aliases do not show when the data source is Dimension Subset? Maren
Hi, I am assuming the Employee analysis dimension order is the same as the Employee Cube order. ['Current Salary']=N: If( DB( 'Employee', !Organization, !EmployeeList, !Year, !Version, 'Job Type' ) @= ATTRS( 'JobType', !JobType, 'Alias' ), DB('Employee', !Organization, !EmployeeList, !Year, !Version...
Hi All, Just wondered if I had missed something fundamental with feeders or whether I am seeing some kind of bug. I have created a reconciliation cube which gets its data from 2 other cubes, Actuals Cube and Forecast Cube. I am using a flag to feed the cells in the reconciliation cube, this flag get...
Hi, I thought I could use ConsolidateCountUNique and add something to only count the 1s but right now it is doing what it is supposed to and counting all 4. I assume you meant to say not doing what it is supposed to do? Anyhows I seem to get this to work, it would therefore help if you showed us the...
