Re: TM1 Loose files client install
Now that you mention that, all the users I have done a loose style on had a previous version of tm1 on it. I believe you might run into some .ocx issues. Good call man, you really know your stuff!

Re: TM1 9.4 FP3 vs TM1 9.5
All I can say is that we haven't had any crashes on 9.4 FP3. This is a very stable build. When we migrated to 9.4 MR1 and then to FP2 and every hotfix here and in between crash after crash. Personally I would go with 9.4 FP3 since I wouldn't risk finding all the bugs on 9.5

Re: TM1 Loose files client install
Yes I have and yes it works. The problem with loose files are that if you want to push a silent install their folder might be in a different location when you go to update their client. I recommend getting a script to install the client on the users machines.

Startup times with new architecture
I was wondering if anyone has had a chance to put TM1 on a newer box that has maybe the new Intel Nahalem processors with DDR3 memory or similar. Did you see a startup time decrease? I know TM1 is loaded into memory and was wondering if hardware would be that big of a factor.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Re: Hyperthreading...
Funny thing is, I have noticed to utilize no more than 4 threads at a time. Anything above that and tm1 can't handle the memory usage that goes along with starting up that many threads. Try setting it to 4 in the config file and see what that brings. I am curious to see if you guys see the same thing.
