Tm1 9.1 SP4 on Win 7/Office 2007 - not local install
Trying to get to the server manager on a machine with Office 2007/Win 7. Set up the user to pull the tm1p.xla from the server (added to the path of the excel icon), which seems to work, although there is no TM1 ribbon menu, but tm1 stuff does seem to appear in the Add-ins ribbon. Biggest issue is wh...

How do you assign people to different cores? Never heard that one before.

Re: asciioutput using NOW as the name of the file
I have it working with a process start and endtime, and the difference (elapsed time), but the elapsed time can't be added up across processes because it's a string. I tried to convert it to a number with stringtonumber, but it just choked.
trying to figure out how to get non-string elapsed time...

Re: asciioutput using NOW as the name of the file
at the risk of hijacking this thread,
is there a way to use the timst function and convert to numeric something so that (in my case) a time-elapesed element that is held in a cube could be added up by the parent element roll-up?
I tried stringtonumber but got some 'real number' errors...

Re: }hold cubes and issues with savedata (9.1.4)
Wow! I feel lucky! We have 2 nightly chores, one with 68 processes and one with 46, both with SaveDataAll processes in the middle and end, and we almost never (knock wood) have those issues. I would die if each of my processes had to be in its own chore. Kind of defeats the purpose of a chore. Robert

Re: Experiences with 9.1.4 FP1?
Sarah, thanks for the information. We are running 64-bit 9.1.4 as well, but have experienced nothing like what you describe.
Good to hear the fix pack seems to be an improvement and doesn't _seem_ to introduce new regressions.

Experiences with 9.1.4 FP1?
Just got the Fix Pack one for our 9.1.4 installation, and curious to see in anyone has actually applied it and NOT seen any negative consequences, or, what the downsides of the FP1 install produced.
Thanks,
Robert

Re: }hold cubes and issues with savedata (9.1.4)
I see the save data all error (cant get lock yada yada) in chores occasionally, but could never really tell why since its usually at the end of a chore - what else is running preventing the lock? No users on system for sure. There is an FP 1 for 9.1.4. Just got the info from IBM today. Some specific...

[Solved] TM1Web print to pdf functionality not built-in?
kang, thanks for the tip. I'll call IBM and see if they can resolve. If not, I'll hit you up off line. robert Key seems to be to install the PDFcamp print driver before installing Tm1 Web. IBM supplied this upon request. Seems it was left out of the 9.1 sp4 package. It is also not possible to use an...

Re: TM1Web print to pdf functionality not built-in?
Thanks, Alan, however there is no PDFcamp printer listed in the available printers on the server. Should this have been installed during the TM1Web installation? Maybe its under some manufacturers name, but who?
I only see the network printers and Microsoft XPS Document Writer...

[Solved] TM1Web print to pdf functionality not built-in?
Tm1web throws up and error "PDFcamp printer not installed properly" when trying to use the function. Is this not built-in functionality?

Re: Creating and deleting services
One thing I might add is that you might need the MS Resource kit tools (rktools.exe) to get the 'sleep' command to stop the process from trying to restart before it has finished writing to disk. Using 64-bit TM1, the write-down takes some what longer after the nightly chores finish running. We've ru...

TM1Top writes to cube?
Is anyone using tm1top to log data to a cube? Can this be used via tm1web in anyway?
Just learned about this tool recently and haven't explored much of the capabilities. Any user experieces using it would be great to learn about.
