Re: Tm1 Server not starting

Well it happened again this morning and it looks like I've found out what the culprit was... there was a default view on a control cube and when I've deleted that folder from the data directory it has started up fine. Absolutely no idea why that would stop a server from starting but it has resolved ...

"Pulse" for TM1

Does anyone use this product for documentation/diagnostics/deployments etc? We are looking into purchasing it but would appreciate any reviews/experience if anyone uses it and would like to share their experience.

Issues post SSL fix?

Has anyone else experienced issues post the SSL fix? We are on v10.1.1 and the application is hosted by a third party software provider who look after all of installation/technical side of things. As far as I am aware they have applied the patch but ever since this was applied we seem to be having v...

Re: Sorting hierarchy by an attribute

Your screenshots do not match the explanation/code. If you filter by level 0, how can you have consolidated elements in the subset ? Otherwise your screenshots are misleading and it will not be easy to help you. I just showed the hierarchy screenshot just to show how it is sorting within each hiera...

Sorting hierarchy by an attribute

Before I created a hierarchy in my dimension the MDX to sort by attribute worked perfectly. I have since created a structure in the dimension and the sort is now being applied to each area of the hierarchy individually. What I need to be able to do is show only the leaf level elements and then sort ...

Maximum rows in active form?

Is there a limit to how many rows can be returned in an active form? And if so is it a parameter than can be changed? I have an active form in v10.1.1 that works fine with less than 100 rows but when I try to do say 1000 rows I just keep getting a timeout error. When I've looked at the web log file ...

Re: Tm1 Server not starting

Have you checked for disc space issues? Disk space looked fine - I copied it from our live server to test and got the same issues I've managed to get it to start by restoring the data from a backup from last week and then copying all of the files in the data directory that had changed since then. I...

I believe so yes! Our application is hosted by a third party so their consultant has done this. I'm assuming this would impact all instances though, not just one? The others are working fine.

Tm1 Server not starting

I was out of the office yesterday and when I've come back today one of the servers is behaving very strangely. There are loads of log files (50+) with numbers on the end and the tm1server file if filled (as are all the other log files) with an error message stating: 4332 [] ERROR 2016-12-02 11:44:40...

Re: Feeder Help

Apologies, I've attached the additional information re the cube. The data is just loaded into 2 measures - value and FTE. Value holds what has been paid to a person and FTE what their full time equivalent is (i.e. 1, 0.8 etc). I'm not sure I can use either of those 2 to feed the cell because the 2 a...

Feeder Help

Hi all Can anyone help me with a feeder for this please? The leaf level is calculating the indicator fine but it is not rolling up to the consolidations so I assume a feeder is needed but I've never fed attributes before. I've had a go at putting a rule in the control cube but it tells me it's not a...

Re: MDX Filter in Active Form

When applying filter in MDX using cube values, and a particular dimension is not included, then that MDX will examine all elements. For example, since Version is not included in the MDX, the MDX will check against all versions (budget/actual/forecast) that meets the criteria. To include all dimensi...

I think that is the problem but I'm not sure what the code should be for more than one dimension - can you help with that at all please?

Re: Subtotal in cube

Then why not just create your own total with a SUM formula in Excel. Leave all the dimensions as leaves and then write a formula at the bottom. Tip: make the formula extend one row beyond the end of the active form. That just gives me the total of everything whereas I need a total of each individua...

Re: Subtotal in cube

I didn't say use the "All" element in both, I said use it in just one of them. I have tried to use the All in just one (tried each one differently) and it doesn't do what I want hence trying it in all. I've attached what each "all" does and none of them do what I want which is j...

MDX Filter in Active Form

I have an active form where I want to filter 2 values (where one is equal to 0 and the other is not equal to 0). I need the MDX to return the rows that this relates to but it's not working as I'd expect it to as it is looking at the consolidations for the elements and not the leaf levels for the 2 d...

Re: Subtotal in cube

It won't if you use the "All" element for just one of those instead of both. I can't use the "All" in the other dimensions because where there is only one element and the total it looks strange as it repeats the total and I literally just want all of the leaf elements in each di...

Subtotal in cube

I need to do a subtotal on my cube against cost centre. There isn’t a natural consolidation element that will do this and I’m struggling to find a way to do this either using a websheet or MDX, can anyone help? I need a total for each cost centre. The employees/jobs have an “all” level but this just...
