Hi,
what's the "hidden property code". We are using version 2.08 an 2.09.
It will be more complex code.
Best regards,
orlando

Re: Register process via RestAPI

I think your main problem is that you have the process file which is not in the format the rest api would expect. For the rest api to accept your ti you would have to extract all necessary information from the file and create the json file which the rest api expects. If it is just code without param...

We can start voting for extension name :) I think it should be vscode-tm1
+1 for that one from my side :-)

Issue tracking on Github sounds like a great idea. Happy to help too.

live editing with rest api would be a game changer. I’d be happy to contribute, but will need to learn typescript )

Stay tuned for updates on TM1 Editor, a slight shift in design will be taking place shortly and I plan on having an announcement out later this week - as soon as we can get over this crazy Texas weather!
Looking forward to that. Can't wait to see what will happen. ;-) Awesome project!

Re: PickList to show Alias but store Element Name

Very useful function. The only thing I found so far is that it has problems if you have a numeric value (i.e. 1 & 0) as element names and strings as alias (i.e. TRUE & FALSE). Those values cannot be written via that hidden feature. It seems TM1 is writing the value and afterwards changing it. Maybe ...

Re: TM1py 1.6

Very cool release. I especially love the write_dataframe method after some initial struggle with our German locale on the server side. :-D it makes some of the fancy data science **[Expletive Removed]** you can do with Python a lot easier to get back into the cube. The windows authentication is awes...

Nope. That won't happen. Clear statement from IBM. Don't know what more I could add to that.

Re: Throttle and / or Block a users Rest API connection from third party apps.

I must admit I don't see how IBM could limit that. As lotsaram pointed out you could put anything in the header. If you have users with such bad intentions limit their general access to the database. Make sure they can only have 1 connection at a time. I must admit that right now I am not 100% sure ...

Re: Auto-complete and Function picker for MDX in PAW/PAfE set editor

So you are going to reduce the stream of visitors to my MDX page ? IBM should just pay you to maintain that functionality within the set editor. :-D But that page is still the number one go to place for anything related to MDX for TM1. <-- Just wanted to add that appreciation! :-P And YES IBM...

Re: Admin access - Read Only

I think you can make the user part of the ADMIN group and use the read-only flag. That should work. But is a bit risky because some day IBM might realize that this does not make sense.

Re: tm1py: count and list TM1 users

Thanks for sharing Wim! I have one idea which could increase performance, guess instead of checking all cubes for all groups of every user you could generate a list of groups with WRITE-access and then checking if a user is in one of those groups on the list. Had no time to try that out.

Re: tm1py: count and list TM1 users

If you have several TM1 models, you could loop over ports. Here I assume the same username, password, SSL. You could get the instances listed at the admin server with a useful function and retrieve ssl and port from there. # get modules from TM1py.Utils import get_all_servers_from_adminhost from TM...

AFAIK (remerbing our license audit this year) they are explicitly asking for the isdisabled property because those users are most likely not counted.

Re: tm1py: count and list TM1 users

Hi Wim, I presented something similar at the Cubewise TM1 Horizon a couple of weeks ago. You can find my example on github: https://github.com/scrumthing/tm1py_tm1horizon2020/blob/master/tm1horizon_showcase..ipynb That is a summary of how we do it at Deutsche Bahn with our 70+ instances. My remarks ...

Re: Do not overwrite Values for Dates older yesterday - TM1 TI

The easiest solution might be if I understood you correctly to make it two processes. One for each value and one is run weekly and the other on a daily basis. The SQL query for the weekly one could be changed by using the sql server datetime functions in a WHERE clause.
