Re: iphone/Android data input anybody?
IBM Cognos Active Report allows you to view reports via mobile... This is Cognos BI, but you can integrate TM1 with Cognos BI. As far as entering data, I have no idea, so I guess this doesn't really answer your question.

Re: Adding element to existing dimension
How big is the dimension? If it's big have you tried searching for it by name after pressing the all button? Have you tried doing a dimension save as to see if it appears in the newly saved dimension? There's about 60 dimensions appearing when I go to Edit Dimension Structure, with about 30 appeari...

Re: Adding element to existing dimension
- Make sure you have saved after adding element in Dimension editor then - Subset editor, select all? I made sure it was saved. When I go into subset editor, the element I need doesn't appear. For the element to appear, I need to be in "Edit Dimension Structure". There, I can "select...

Adding element to existing dimension
Hey all, I need to add a new element to an existing dimension in use by at least one cube in a very large, very complicated model. I tried manually inserting the element into the dimension, but for some reason it only shows up in the dimension list if I click "Edit Dimension Structure", no...

Re-installed, everything worked fine. What a waste of time! Thanks for all your help everyone. Lesson learned.

Re: Very newbie question: Cannot get architect functionality
Does anyone see any issue with a full re-install? Is there anything that could go wrong with a re-install that I could correct first?

Re: Very newbie question: Cannot get architect functionality
I feel very, very dumb. Shosty, I should be the one feeling dumb as I put you on a wild goose chase by not reading you're question properly. You mentioned GO_New_Stores as well (which is a different server as the greatoutdoors one), its logfiles should be here: C:\Program Files\ibm\cognos\tm1_64\sa...

Re: Very newbie question: Cannot get architect functionality
No, nothing with the IP Addresses have changed. Yes to DHCP server. IP Addresses all match.Duncan P wrote:Is the IPAddress specified in the config file? Do you connect to a DHCP server? Did the lease on your IPAddress expire and you get a new one?

Re: Very newbie question: Cannot get architect functionality
Perhaps not the same issue then - sorry if I put you on the wrong track. Sometimes a TM1 server appears to start as expected but fails later in the process. What are the last entries in the tm1server.log message file after start up? Mine say: FATAL ... TM1.Transaction TM1TransactionLog::ProcessTran...

Re: Very newbie question: Cannot get architect functionality
The Great Outdoors sample TM1 server regularly fails to start after a reboot of my VM - might be the same issue you're experiencing. In my case it seems the transaction logfile somehow gets corrupted. Try to delete the tm1s.log file (on my VM it's in C:\Program Files\ibm\cognos\tm1_64\webcontent\sa...

Re: Very newbie question: Cannot get architect functionality
Hang on, you didn't say anything about not being able to stop the Admin Server before; you said that you couldn't stop the "Local configuration" and the Go Server. When you go to Computer => Manage => Services (which is where you should be doing the stop from), what is the exact error mes...

Re: Very newbie question: Cannot get architect functionality
Perhaps this is significant: While the Local Configuration and the GO Server are both started, I can't stop them or restart them... By "Local configuration" I presume that you mean a Local server. If: (a) You have your Local Server Data directory (in File => Options of Server Explorer) po...

Re: Very newbie question: Cannot get architect functionality
If all of that information is correct (bearing in mind that we can't see your server and don't know what your tm1p.ini file looks like), there is no obvious reason for the problem. It does beg the question of whether you are getting ANY servers showing in Architect, though, and if so whether the po...

Very newbie question: Cannot get architect functionality
Hi everyone, I recently began learning TM1 10.1 through some self-study of the Great Outdoors samples. Everyone worked very well for a few weeks, until one day after a reboot of my laptop, the Great Outdoors server suddenly stopped appearing in Architect. I checked the configuration settings, and th...
