Re: 32bit TM1 on 64bit
Helpdesk referred to a TM1 Consultant and the advice has changed. Although it is possible, it appears as though there are some issues with running 32-bit on 64-bit hardware, such as ODBC driver compatibility and it is unsupported by IBM. You will generally get the advantage of the extra GB of RAM if...

32bit TM1 on 64bit
Plenty of posts on this topic but I was after some definitive answers from our support partner. Asking about what version of OS would give us access to the 3gb switch or what version of 64bit (standard or enterprise) we would need to enable 4gb. I thought I knew the answer after reading previous top...

Re: Security Rules
Thanks. That's what I thought.
I saw an earlier thread that suggested through the use of rules you could make the Admin user unusable, so I thought I'd have a quick play with some rules.

Security Rules
Hi, I have a requirement to hide payroll information in an opex model from the administrator of TM1. We are now using 9.5. I have tried using security rules against the }ElementSecurity_Employee cube without success. I set up the following rules: ['XX_DUMMY','ADMIN']=S: 'READ'; ['XX_DUMMY','DATAADMI...

9.5.1 Data Spreading
I'm having a problem with data spreading that I hope someone out there can help with. I have two products that have the same rules being applied, with revenue being calculated as price (Average Selling Price or ASP) * units. At a consolidated level the ASP is a calculation of revenue/units. When I t...

Re: dbs
Is the answer as simple as pressing F9 to calculate? I have seen this in my workbooks where the DBS is showing the current value in the cube - only when I calculate does it send the value to the cube and show this as the result in the cell.

Re: Feeder Trouble
Yes, I unloaded Cube C. I thought this would remove the feeder flags but it makes sense that it wouldn't affect them in other cubes. 'Volume Variance' in Cube C is a consolidation of ruled values. To test this a bit further, I removed some of the feeders from the rule file for Cube B and left the ru...

Re: Feeder Trouble
Feeder from Cube C ['Volume Variance']=>DB('Domino FC','Adjustments','Local Currency','Actual',!Year,!Months,'DOM CON','Blah'); I appear to have fixed the problem but not sure as to why it's decided to work now. I changed the feeder in Cube C as above to overfeed to 'Blah' in Cube A, a consolidation...

Re: Feeder Trouble
So A is the central cube, you pull (rule) some values from A into cubes B and C do some work using rules and then pull (rule) the results back into cube A again? If you don't need to view the results in B and C and the results that you pull back into cube A are not consolidations in cubes B and C t...

Feeder Trouble
Hoping for some enlightenment on a feeder issue. I have three cubes, a main data cube (A) and two cubes (B&C) which extract some data from the main cube manipulate it and then it is pulled back into the main cube in a different place. B&C are almost identical in what they are doing, essentia...
