Re: Requirements to be a product Architect!!!
[Just for your information there is no new projects on TM1 in entire world....... :) Sorry, I may be misunderstanding what you are saying here... if you are saying that new new developments/no new customers are using TM1 as their tool of choice, you are very wrong. I wish I would be wrong !!

Re: Requirements to be a product Architect!!!
Depends who you want to work for; there are a number of architects out there I wouldn't employ as a junior developer. Good observation on TM1 consultants !! Are you including yourself in that group? As in any tool, the quality of the people "specializing" in that tool has nothing to do wi...

Re: IS TM1 Very Costly...??
Thanks Declan,
So it mainly depends on the level of experience of consultants. All the 8 consultants had never heard about TM1 before(They were EP Consultants), and they have change the design not less than 10 times.
But still design requires all 8 consultants as on support.

Now after implementation they are suppose to spend 120,000 USD for support every year. My question: Is TM1 that much ...

Re: What is the use of adding dimension in existing cube...
Thanks Paul for valuable information, So we need to create new cube with the new dimension we want to add. There is nothing we can do using performance modeler. There might be some other use of this functionality because IBM might have evaluated the functionality before implementing or adding it to ...

Thanks So Much Wim for valuable information... Hello Making an Active form with 1 dimension for the rows (which has an MDX subset that is selected to be used in the Active form). Then I added some formatting (dark blue, light blue, ...) in the format range for the active form. Also changed some basi...

Re: What is the use of adding dimension in existing cube...
I think it was useful in EP where rules are written at dimension level. Even deleting or adding dimension in cube does not affect to the rules because it is written at dimension level.
Good step towards EP functionality, hope this will continue adding EP functionality in TM1. Thanks to IBM

What is the use of adding dimension in existing cube...
Hi,
Can any of us highlight the use of adding new dimension in existing cube, when after adding dimension we have to re-write all the rules and re-build the TI process.
Which takes the same time and efforts as we create new cube.
Is there any use of this functionality ??
Thanks

Re: How to create Dimension thru Text file using PM
Hi MacSir,
Rule sheet is fine for writing rules, But I am talking about creating dimension thru process which has 3-4 hierarchy.
Please start liking PM because we will not get TM1 Architect and TM1 Perspectives in next versions of TM1.
