Re: Ampersand in SQL source.
Hello BrianL Good call, but likely not the answer in this case. The source is a string and the column is formatted as a string. It is worth remembering that the other records are coming in correctly, it is just this one that is failing. The line syntax is 'DO Contractors, Temps - T&M'. Other lin...

Re: Scenario Monitoring
Hi KKMK The Version may be locked, but if you change your account dimension then all data in all versions will be skewed if that account is used. There is no 'silver bullet' approach here that will cure all your problems. You need to analyse all the scenarios that have caused your data to appear cor...

Ampersand in SQL source.
Hello All, I am using TM1 10.2.2 FP2 (not updated in my profile as I use many versions). I have observed something that I hope has been seen before and someone may have a resolution for. I have a TI, created in Performance Modeller which brings in various lines to a TM1 cube from an ODBC source. It ...

Re: TM1 WEB - Menu not displayed after login
Hello TF34375 The familiar applications / cubes / dimenssions.... tree should appear on the left hand side of your browser. It may be that you have opened up an the pane is hidden. Look for the three little arrows that allow you to reveal it. Cick on them and it should reveal. If you do not see the ...

Re: Citrix environment
Hello TF34375 I have run TM1 on citrix for many years and I might be able to answer some of your questions. Assuming you do not have roaming citrix profiles, the TM1p.ini file will be copied form the All users\application data\applix\tm1 into each use at the point they log on to that citrix server. ...

Re: Error occurred while Chore was running
You should also check that you dont have any parameters being pre-selected in the chore. Open the chore and check the 'Specify Values for Parameters' button for each selected process. That could well epxlain why the TIs work individually, but not when run through the chore.

Re: Dimension Security.
Apologies for hijacking the thread with a personal agenda. Am I alone in hoping that a new security paradigm is in the TM1 future roadmap? Cell security works, but can result in a large cube. All to often I come accross cases where you just need security over two dimensions, but your cube may have s...

Whilst I agree with Isocat that zero is not always zero, you should be able to control this affect in the formatting properties for the element in question.

Re: Perspective Error on CITRIX
I would look to rename the TM1ribbon.xlam file on the citrix boxes. This will take away the ribbon menu, but allow you to see the old style menu under the add-ins. You may have a compatibility issue, but its hard to tell as ythe version on your profile dont match what you are seeing on the screenshot.

Re: Budget and Forecast for Profit and Loss
Based on your description, I would go for the attributes option every time. I dont have any evidence to empirically prove that either way is noticably faster or slower.... I would observe that from everything I have ever built, neither way would be considered slow. I would instead be looking at the ...

Re: Comments/Annotations in TM1
You can acheive this by use of a TI, that reads the comment currently in the cell, appends a new comment and then writes the new value back to the cell.

Re: TM1 Active Form Performance Issue
TM1 runs predominantly on a single core, it certainly does for data queries. During the time that you experience poor performance on the active form, look at the server CPU / page file and the client CPU / page file. You will see if there is the limiting factor in either of those. You can also use T...

Re: OLE for OLAP TM1 missing
In the event that the suggestion form Tomok yields n result, run the set up process on the server as usual, when you are asked to select the components, make sure you select the client components. It feels a little alien to have the client on the database server if you have only local clients, or ci...

Re: Isn't TM1 Vulnerable due to file structure?
Hello Hugh, With "No!" resounding in your ears, I think it would be churlish of me to do the same, even though we know each other well. If you permit me to be assumptive, we did once tackle a similar issue together where users needed some permission to the underlying files, but it was a TM...

Re: Change subset dimension on change other dimension elemen
Like Jstrynger originally wrote..... I never know this was possible. I too had to test it as like most of us, we dont belive things until we see them. Guess what? it worked. I had always predicated on the assumption that MDX statements can not look accross multiple dimensions, but here it does. Back...

Re: Isn't TM1 Vulnerable due to file structure?
There are many large corporations that use TM1 for storing data, some of which is considered as sensitive. In partnership with a good IT department, in every case I have seen it fulfils all the audit requirements for security compliance. I think you can take some significant comfort from this that T...

Re: Change subset dimension on change other dimension elemen
If the final results are sent to excel, then I would suggest using a VB control in excel to put in place the effect that you are looking to acheive. You have the subsets in place already, you just need a way to enforce the correct one is used. It is opening up a whole host of additional VB, because ...

Re: copying TM1 to another server doesn't get the same figur
When TM1 starts, the values in the cubes are loaded form the underlying .cub file. When data is changed in TM1, the transaction is stored in a separate log file, TM1s.log. The data that you see at any time is therefore a combination of the two. When you save the tm1 server instance, the data is all ...

Re: Change subset dimension on change other dimension elemen
I have never done it directly in cube viewer, but I have used VB code and the 'E_Pick' VB Macro to call a specific subset. You can predicate this on other values in your excel spreadsheet and this gives the appearance of the value of one element deriving the members of another subset. In reality, yo...

Re: How does TM1 calculate long formulas?
Hello Isocat, Your thread has already attracted the attention of some of the big contributors, so adding another opinion may not be the most helpful thing, but I think your OP may not have been fully understood. Your point, if I am correct, is that if the value is generated on account of hitting the...
