Re: TI -Using single column to aling fact to multiple dimens
One possible approach that came to my mind is to create a dimension out of this mapping data with the mapping key as the element and the dimensions as attributes but can I use ATTRS to read an element's attribute from a dimension that not directly involved in the import process (= not included in t...

TI -Using single column to aling fact to multiple dimensions
Hey and a lovely wintery morning to you all. I'm working on an interesting case implementing a budgeting and planning solution for a rather fractured company that has several subsidiaries. Due to inorganic growth, the ERP field is akin to minefield but that's not my problem at this stage. I'm curren...

Re: TM1Web works, Application Web doesn't over WAN
I eventually managed to find the source of the problem. In Application Web settings (accessible through the portal) the Contributor client's address was still referring to an internal address. Changing this to the WAN ip of the host machine seems to have fixed the problem.

TM1Web works, Application Web doesn't over WAN
I have a client who needs to test a TM1 PoC solution I made but we've run into some technical problems with him connecting over WAN to our server. TM1Web works fine, he can log in and sees all the content there is on the TM1 POC server. Using the same address but replacing TM1web with PMPSVC he can ...

Re: Prevent users from inputting data into consolidated cell
Security is a bit of a black art but with a little practice and experience it's not that hard to get your head around. Well, it seems I had the right of it, at least in a ballpark sense, but I might have worded my question a bit ambiguously while blaming the IBM documentation for doing the same :? ...

Re: Prevent users from inputting data into consolidated cell
Hello Do not use that ConsolidateChildren, have a look at element security. Not dimension security. Thank you, you confirmed what I was thinking about. Could you please further clarify the following to make sure I really got the gist of things: 1. If user belongs to two different CAM groups, user w...

Prevent users from inputting data into consolidated cells
To be honest I feel a bit ashamed to be asking something apparently so simple, but for the death of me I haven't been able to find an answer no matter what/how I googled... How do I prevent users from being able to enter data into consolidated cells in my applications? E.g. users should only be able...
