Thanks Wim, so you're making use of either perspectives or PAX then? I was after a workaround for tm1web, but thanks for the tip.Wim Gielis wrote: ↑Tue Nov 29, 2022 12:54 am I typically stick to some VBA code, organized in the ribbon. Clean and neat, doesn’t require a Nobel prize to set up.

Re: Creating indented snapshots from cube views
Are you simply asking the WHY or are you asking if there's a workaround? I'm not aware of a fix. As for the why, my guess is it has to do with Perspectives being an excel add-in and TM1web using open xml file format for excel files since 10.2 and IBM not being bothered to consider that as desired f...

Creating indented snapshots from cube views
Hi guys, Could anyone explain why when a dimension hierarchy viewed in a cube view in perspectives is snapshotted out to excel this hierarchy is maintained (indentations are preserved). When this same cube view is viewed from tm1web, the hierarchy is visible, but when snapshotted out from the cube v...

Re: Modify default TM1web layout
Short of direct editing the source files in the install location that would then get overwritten any time you upgrade, I'm not aware of how to do this. I guess you could create a custom browser extension that dynamically updates the html of the page for all users. You could even build your own cust...

Modify default TM1web layout
Hi guys, Is it possible to modify the existing layout of TM1web such that you can hide certain banners or buttons i.e. to change the default layout of tm1web as it's rendered in a browser. For example. the 'banner' that contains "IBM Cognos TM1Web on the left and on the RHS is .... Help | Logou...

Re: Opinions & Best Practices for Front-end Design
The clipboard functionality exists but you'll require a plug-in for newer browsers. (this will need installing on each machine your accessing tm1web/workspace from https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/plugins-microsoft-edge-mozilla-firefox-and-google-chrome-web-browsers-are-available-use-copy-and-past...

Re: Jmeter setup
Hi guys, I know this is an old thread, but I'm interested in getting Jmeter running to monitor my instances in real-time, rather than load testing a website. If you look on slide 6 of 29 on this site, it explains we need both the visualizer and wrapper jar files to be able to monitor the server acti...

Re: passing excel variable into MDX
Thank you Wim,
I was trying to insert a single inverted comma, but excel didn't like " ' "
I used your example of " " " and it worked.
Much appreciated!

passing excel variable into MDX
Hi guys, I've used the following format in the past to get a variable in excel passed into an MDX statement successfully. ="{FILTER ( {TM1SORT( {TM1FILTERBYLEVEL( {TM1SUBSETALL( [Dimension1] )}, 0)}, ASC)} , [CC_Config].([Version].[&CHAR(34)&$F$15&CHAR(34)&],[CC].[HQ],[}ElementA...

Re: PAW on Windows server 2019
Makes for an interesting read. So how many of you guys are running PAW on windows 2016 in a production environment... successfully and painlessly? I was told that IBM had a plan for a dockerless version of PAW, and that was due for release in Q4 of 2019, then was delayed to Q2 of 2020, then Covid ap...

High Availability PA server
Hi guys, I've seen a post by IBM describing a high availability PAW application layer cluster where a distributed architecture of web servers is used to spread the load behind a load balancer. Re: PA: Multiple web instance
Hello, with TM1 10.2 it was very easy to create a second TM web instance (copy the war rename it, tomcat extract the war, make settings, restart tomcat- done). With Planning Analytics and webphere this doesn't work. Even Copy the TM1Web Folder in WebApps, rename and restart does not work. Does anayb...

Tool to analyse TM1 web dumps
Hi All, Does anyone here have any suggestions on what tool/s you use to analyse the web dump files that are generated from time to time? These would be core*.dmp heapdump*.phd javacore*.txt I'm just interested to know if there is a tool that would be able to give us an indication of the problem with...

Create a drillable consolidator with only leaf level children
Hi guys, I'm trying to create a dynamic subset that shows a collapsed consolidated node that when expanded, only shows the leaf level children (not any consolidated children). Does anyone have any hints? I've gone through the "MDX a primer" site (http://www.bihints.com/book/export/html/68)...

Running multiple web processes in TM1 10.3 on websphere
Hi guys, Having installed TM1 10.3 (Planning Analytics Local 2.0.2) I see that the new bundled web server is IBM websphere - Liberty profile. I'm sure there a few of you who have run TM1 web on websphere already. Does anyone know how we can run multiple web processes on the bundled websphere server ...
