Re: Loading a table into different attribute names
I did the file and it shows me what has been happening. it stops at the same record. It is very strange. The table certainly has more than those 70 odd records. In Access with the same criteria there are hundreds of records. Also if I put in the next customer in the sql it shows it. It is only using...

Re: Loading a table into different attribute names
Thanks for the response. I will add the statement and see what the datasource is doing. But I would have thought that there would be an issue using my individual processes not just the combined one.
Thanks also for the tip about trim.

Re: Loading a table into different attribute names
Thanks for the responses. The first if is using dim index. So most of the records have an index greater than zero so I did not think that would be an issue. This seems to be general code we use to stop trying to load customers not in the dimension. The interesting thing is that for all the 10 separa...

Re: Loading a table into different attribute names
even in the log file there is no error. I have just noticed that for the last record it loads it does not load all the proprietors. There are three proprietors - line 0, 4 and 5. So each of those should be loaded against Proprietor1; Proprietor5 and Proprietor6. But only line zero is loaded. Then th...

Re: Loading a table into different attribute names
There is no error log. I can see a file when I save data all and see that it loaded only part of the table.

Loading a table into different attribute names
Hi all I have a table on an AS400 which holds our customer proprietor names. There can be up to 10 proprietor fields. We call the attributes Proprietor1; Proprietor2 etc. I have around 10 different process which work individually but thought it would be better to have one and use TI to determine the...

Re: Dimension Subset Editor does not open
Thanks for the info. The situation is one docked laptop with two large screens. One with a blue vga plug and one with a white dvi plug. The display is extended so that it shows on screens 2 and 3. The notebook is blacked out. Using Windows 7, Excel 2010 and TM1 10.1.1. I tried using only the laptop ...

Dimension Subset Editor does not open
Hi all, one of our users can no longer get the subset editor to open. He can open up a view in the cube, then he double clicks on a top level dimension. It flashes but does not open. I have tried to check both screens but cannot see anything small.
Has anyone come across this?

MS Query and TM1
Hi all. Hopefully someone might be able to shed some light on this. We have an Excel 2010 workbook with an ms query to our erp system. We want to add two new fields into the query and we open ms query and add them. We close and return to Excel and we can see the new columns added but on the last OK ...

It seems that the forum does not allow xdi to be added as an attachment.

Re: Cannot open xdi
Still cannot open the xdi!!!!
I updated using TM1 dim editor and it then updated the dim worksheet. Using TM1 ribbon selected Open Dimension Worksheet and still got the message.
I will need to check through the settings which have been locked down by IT.

Re: Cannot open xdi
I cannot open it using Excel File Open or TM1 Open Dimension Worksheet. I tried the regedit but it did not work. I have made a copy of the xdi and changed the extension to xls. I then was able to open it in Excel and saved it as xlsx. I will now (in dev) update the dimension using TM1 dimension edit...

Re: Cannot open xdi
I now cannot open it in Excel 2003 and with TM1 10.1.1 or 9.5.3 clients (this last was a support machine I had when we were upgrading). This is really annoying as I am not sure why this is the case. I will try updating the dimension within server explorer and get it to update the xdi itself. Hopeful...

Cannot open xdi
Hi all When we went from Excel 2003 to 2010 we cannot open xdi files. We get the message "Excel cannot open the file 'businessunit.xdi' because the file format or file extension is not valid. We can open it using Excel 2003 so not sure what has happened. I have searched for this but cannot find...

Thanks for the response.
You are right in that I do not have the UOM. I will give the code a go.
Re the number of dimensions. The user wanted to be able to slice and dice by many different criteria.

Re: Loading data into cube from csv
Thanks for the response. UoM is not currently an attribute. All the data is held in our erp system so I would need to combine the shipment table in JDE and our csv file. Not sure that can be done in TI. I will try and load as attribute. I am just not sure if there is a one for one. One shipment coul...

Re: Loading data into cube from csv
In my csv file I have a shipment number and a cost that the shipment incurred. I need to load the cost into my freight cube. However, all I have to help me load is the shipment number. To use a celllputn, I need to gather "n" elements from the other dimensions. Most of these will be an &qu...
