Re: Rules
Hi,
In order to look at the prior period you can set up an attribute for your time dimension called "prior_period" and type in the prior period element names.
You can then write a rule to refer to that attribute as follows:
ATTRS('Time',!Time,'prior_period')

Re: Capex budgeting in TM1
Thanks for this Matt. I think I will include the currency translation in the same cube under an extra dimension, and will need upto 100 capex project numbers per BU, but after that will build something very simular to what you have below.

Cognos Planning
Can anyone tell me what the benefits are in Cognos Planning. We are currently running TM1 9.4 but am interested to know what extra forecasting and budgeting benefits you get with Cognos Planning. Do you need TM1 to run Cognos Planning?
Any information anyone has would be helpful to know.

Error in macro Excel TM1 Server Connect CODE = 80010105
Has any had the above error on a workbook in TM1? If you are not connected to TM1 the workbook opens fine but if you do connect to TM1 it all crashes and Excel recovers the work. Any ideas how to resolve the issue?
We are using TM1 9.4.1 FP3 and Excel 2003.
