Re: Element-ghost
Thanks for the explanation , however, I could verify on point 1 and 3 but not the second point . E.g. DIMIX ( 'Year' , 'Default' ) would still give 0 . Could you elaborate more in that scenario ? I am using 10.2.2 for testing. Thanks in advance :?: After deleting all the subsets of that dim, Element...

Hi
We've tried to use 10.2 client to access 10.1 server , but acording to IBM :
Quote You cannot set ClientVersionMaximum to a value greater than the currently installed server version. You cannot connect newer client versions to older server versions. Unquote

In cell databars in 10.2.2 fp1
Hi gurus It seems that the In cell databars and Grayscale conditional formatting are not applied in TM1Web in !0.2.2 fp1 , I thought IBM has fixed that issue . Has anyone get it working or it's simily not allowed ? Also , Does anyone know where those temporary excel sheets are stored under the new j...

Understand CAFE
Hi , this may be a silly question , but I am new to the CAFE . Just wondering how I could distinguish the cell which is driven by CAFE and which is not ? As I am aware , when I drag and drop the crosstab to a worksheet , you could directly update those cell without formula like it did in pesp...

Re: Suppress tm1server.log entries
Another way to look at it is to simply not use tm1server.log for the purposes of application logging (as opposed to server activity logging). E.g. at the end of various TIs in your system you can do this: # assumes you have a line counter and process timer variable sOutput = 'Process ' | GetProcess...

Re: multiple condition formatting was not applied in 10.2.2
I would like to correct myself on this statement, after further testing. Multiple conditional formatting would work if the conditional formatting formula doesn’t involve complex calculation.

multiple condition formatting was not applied in 10.2.2 fp1
Hi I though the fp1 on 10.2.2 would fix the issues around conditional formatting . However it seems there're still some issues around this feature . I have a websheet where 2 conditional formatting were applied to a column title(range) and they're working nicely in 10.1.1 , but simply fail to do so ...

TM1 access when group assignment is overlaped
HI gurus , Could anyone clarify the scenario when a user is assigned to multiple groups ? I alwasys assume TM1 would use the access from the group with the highest security cleareance if a user has been assigned to more than 2 groups . But it seems I am wrong . I have the scenario where a user is as...

Re: TI: Dynamic Subset as Datasource
Good point . In that case , dynamic subset should be avoided defitnitly . Hello To be honest, I never experienced slower performance due to dynamic subsets as being the source of a process, compared to static subsets. Maybe I can test some cases if anyone has a scenario where it's evident, so that I...

Re: TI: Dynamic Subset as Datasource
Dynamic subsets for TI processes being slow is discussed extensively if you search the forum. Just remove the last element from the subset and then add it back on straight after your subsetcreatebymdx in the prolog. You then get the exact same subset of elements to work with but it is now static, y...

Re: TM1RUNTI using CAM Authentication
I have found the IBM documentation to be not as helpful as it could be. When using CAM I have found it works when using either explicitly passing in the connection parameters explicitly in the command line and also when the connection parameters are immediately following the [TM1RunTI] section BUT ...

TO list all dimension elements in cognos insight
Hi I am just trying to tap the water of congos insight . It all goes pretty well . However, I can't seem to be able to expand the subset selection which is equivalent to "All" button in Subset editor in TM1 . It would alwasys remain to be the same element no matter how I click on the "...

Re: Approach to write documentation
Hi ,
From my experience , it make no sense for me look at the data flow or documentation within the whole model . However , it proves very useful to generate a document targeting a specfic object , such as rule or processe .

Re: DimensionElementComponentAdd - a bug or expected behavio
Hi That would just make sense . I did suspecte the cause would be the "private copy" behavior , but I always thought the private copy was taken when the first statement from the prolog is executed , as such the dimension shouldn't be update at all . Now that I understand what the true trig...

DimensionElementComponentAdd - a bug or expected behavior ??
Hi Gurus I am scratching my head for hours for this issue . Please share your insight and help . Here is my current dimension structure : N A N B N C C All Alphabet A B C Alpha Beta C Alpha A C Beta B What I want to do is to unwind all the consolidation first and then rebuild the hierarchy . So I cr...
