Re: Is there a way to get the Data Directory Location in TI?
I'm in favour of having a consistent folder structure for all environments - tm1s.cfg in the main folder and Data and Logging subdirectories sitting under that main folder too. Or any other way that is consistent. Since you can easily get the Logging directory path using GetProcessErrorFileDirector...

Flat TM1 web buttons
So a lot of things from the 80's have made a comeback but I just cant see silver 3d rectangular 3d buttons coming back into vogue anytime soon. To change the appearence you can change the TM1web css file below C:\Program Files\ibm\cognos\tm1_64\TM1Web\css\websheet.css add the following lines of code...

Re: Make lines between cells in Application web more distinc
EP_Explorer, the only chance I can imagine at the moment is to override the default stylesheets and thus bring some custom colors and formats into your grid. This will affect the TM1 Applications framework in general, so all of your applications are changed automatically. And mores the pity as this...

I personally cant wait for the 80's style grey buttons come back in style. It's hip to be square action buttons.Alan Kirk wrote: "an abomination in the eyes of the gods and man" in a Performance Muddler kind of way

Tm1 Application Tab security? Friday Rant
I can get around my problem with a combination of cube, application and dimension security but why is this so hard? I want several types of views for looking at the same cube for data entry and depending on their user group I'd like to determine which tab shows in the eventual application. A simple ...

The Dilbert cartoon was good, but given the subject matter you are trying to work around I cant help but feel your profile pic of Nelson Muntz is apt.

Re: Dynamic Datasource Path
Guys, I could (I agree) just use a file in the development san storage area because (as you rightly say) once built the dummy file will never be referenced again. But (and it's a big one) whether the file is actually used or not the production process will still contain a reference to a file outsid...

wysiwyg TM1 web? and added support for text boxes, shapes, 2007/10 cell colour blending. but most of all more flexability in the display of action buttons. Why cant I attach a TI process to a cube shape? or maybe attach it to an arrow linking two cubes? Its just a bit more intuitive than a button or...

Re: Comma in dimension element name causing problem in 9.5.2
Why not prefix it or just use employee id? You can always use an alais for the persons name. I've never liked using people's names as sometimes as most organisations have duplicates such as Wayne Kerr.
Have you tried taking out the space after the comma?.

Re: Tm1 perspective F9 calculation wierd behaviour
Thanks a lot to everybody, of all the cases that we spoke about, mine was the one addressed by Tomok. You can see it in my quote. Also make sure you don't have any interdependent DBRW formulas. What I mean by that is you have a cell with a DBRW formula in it, and that cell is used as a dimension re...

Were there errors during the process? Are you sure they aren't being created? Depending on the order of the datasource the elements may look a little funny when you open the subset editor. To get a better view of the hierarchy hit the "all" button then the "hierarchy sort" button...

Actually, If they took out the repeated bits (eg. the first two minutes after an add are the same as the two minutes before) and the fillers, air crash investigation would only go for six or seven minutes anyway. Yes great site and a doff of the cap to those behind the project. I'd also like to add a quick comment on the quickness of TM1 developers to blame fellow developers for train wrecks (noob etc). I'm sure we've all had our share of inherited train wrecks and also work that we're not particularly proud...
