Re: Consolidations and Dimension Sort Order
Thanks Gabor. That is the information I was missing. Unfortunately not the one I hoped to get. So TM1 does "the magic" here, which means to may have 2 results for the same request. In my oppinion not the way I expected TM1 to behave. So "ConsolidateChildren" seems to be the only ...

Re: Consolidations and Dimension Sort Order
Hello, I absolutely don´t want to let TM1 magically know how to consolidate. In this case TM1 has two options to consolidate. It can consolidate dimension 1 (which would mean to have the 100) or dimension 2 (which would be 2). I just want TM1 to allways consolidate dimension 2. That´s no case of &qu...

Consolidations and Dimension Sort Order
Hi there, I have an issue with Cells which are on several consolidations. Example: I have two dimensions: Dimension A Consolidated A Element B Element C Dimension B Consolidated 1 Element 2 Element 3 Now it is the case, that some of the Dimension B Elements have Rules, what can end in problems for c...

Re: Rules and DataSpread in Cognos Insight
Try using rule with STET and rule with CONTINUE and right click - cell edit status Cell is rule-derived in any case. Seems to me like a bug. I`m able to do the data-spread in Analyst (no matter if I use STET or CONTINUE which in my opinion should do the same for the given case) but not in Cognos In...

Re: Rules and DataSpread in Cognos Insight
You can't enter values directly to a C level cell... (unless it is a string cell) I can. Cognos Insight has a data-spreading feature for Consolidated-Elements. right click on cell - edit status. what does it say? C-Cell with the Rule [...some conditions...] = C: IF(salesTargetType @= A,1,IF(salesTa...

Yes, I do. Sorry, tried to explain the case as simple as possible, so I wasn´t looking for 100% right syntaxioscat wrote:do u use "@=" instead of "=" ?

Re: Rules and DataSpread in Cognos Insight
There was a Typo (one ")" to much). Its just a short version I posted. The statement I use is working well, but the problem is the handling of C-Elements.

Re: Rules and DataSpread in Cognos Insight
But I tried the same with N-Cells: [...some conditions...] = N: IF(salesTargetType @= A,1,IF(salesTargetType @= B,2, STET)); And in that case I`m able to put in values in the cell if salesTarget isn´t of type A or B. So the STET command does like I expect for N-Cells but behaves different for C-Cell...

Rules and DataSpread in Cognos Insight
Hi there, I have a dimension OE which is a hierachy dimension. OE1 -----OE2 -----OE3 -----OE4 There is another dimension "Sales targets" and a rule to derive the C-Elements from the OE dimension, but only for some sales targets. So there is a rule [...some conditions...] = C: IF(salesTarge...

Spreading options in CI
Hi there, when I type in figures on hierachy items there appears a window with the spreading options (equal or proportional). I don´t want the user allway to enable proportional spreading but set it as default. Is there a possibility to set the proportional spreading as default, so that the user isn...

Re: If You Could ask the TM1 Development Team a Question....
8) Spreading , if its a contribution tool then that's a must. Cognos Insight does support spreading (though classic TM1 interfaces offer a few more options). Are there specific spreading options you are looking for? I think this is also a very interesting point for us. As we are coming from Enterpr...

Re: If You Could ask the TM1 Development Team a Question....
2) TAB's are nice but I would like to have security based on TAB's in the CDD Files. I guess TM1 security will apply. Interesting - I've heard this a few times, but not sure why you wouldn't build different workspaces for different user groups rather than secure individual tabs. Setting up security...
