Hi Guys,
Never seen this before.. non-admin users are getting this error. Under my admin account works ok.
One would think its security related..? With a typical ambiguous error message!

Re: User driven security
Thanks for a very elaborate response Paul. Re: SecurityRefresh, as far as I know only rules require it (but not rule driven cell security). Updating with TI propagates internal security structures without the need of SecurityRefresh. I even recall someone mentioning ElementSecurity* functions being ...

Re: User driven security
In our model, cost center security is user-driven rather than a group. The business is adamant that we can't logically group cost centers to use vanilla group security. There are about 500 cost-centers and as you can imagine having 500 groups would be a nightmare! Did you mean 500 cost centers or 5...

User driven security
Hi All, Working with unusual requirements here (well, not a common one at least). In our model, cost center security is user-driven rather than a group. The business is adamant that we can't logically group cost centers to use vanilla group security. There are about 500 cost-centers and as you can i...

Re: Ruled cell not released for write
Try updating attribute with RunProcess, so it commits entirely outside of the processing chain.
- No, it only matters if you want to serialize changes to the disk. It does not come into equation when you are committing data.CubeSaveData must be added after attribute update.

Re: RunProcess and Process Ends msg
Did you bother to check the documentation on the RunProcess function ? https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/en/SSD29G_2.0.0/com.ibm.swg.ba.cognos.tm1_ref.2.0.0.doc/r_tm1_ref_tifun_runprocess.html There is a section on “Return values”. The return value is JobID which I understand is only poss...

Great summary, thanks.
Just to add, you also have to use non-interactive account if you want to leverage CCS or do REST API calls to your server from a 3rd party software (its in the welcome kit)

Re: Tm1 Server Issues
Sorry, but this is very ambiguous request for assistance. 1. What do Windows (or Linux) server logs, PA and it's clients server logs say? 2. What are the server specs? RAM? Disk Size? 3. Once the Tm1 server has been restarted, it runs fine for a while in which we can submit, approve, and reject. - I...

Re: RunProcess explanation
The biggest problem with this new command is there is no way to know when all of them are done so that you can do the next sequential action. For example, after 12 months are loaded, how do you then kick of an allocation script, or a email saying everything is fine. You have to end up jumping throu...

Re: String size limit of a parameter in a TI
No, issue is with your MDX statement at position 99, try replacing ' " ' around *User* with sQuote = CHAR (34)
sMDX = '{TM1FILTERBYPATTERN( {TM1FILTERBYLEVEL( {TM1SORT( {TM1SUBSETALL( [Process Control Element] )}, ASC)}, 0)}, ' | sQuote |'*User*'| sQuote| ')}';

Thanks

Re: License implication for providing data via REST API
Interesting question.. Given you would need to authenticate with an admin account, would it not be covered by your current admin license? Same as query data via any PA client? https://www-03.ibm.com/software/sla/sladb.nsf/pdf/6398-08/$file/i126-6398-08_03-2019_en_US.pdf IBM Planning Analytics Modele...

Re: Possibility of Amazon AWS S3 to TM1 On-Prem
thank you so much for a quick response Evgeny. you are correct. we have the Amzon Redshift where all the flat-files are located. So, our tm1 10.2.2 On-Prem needs to connect to flat-files to read the data?. Could you please brief more about on this. maybe solution approach? I am confused, files sitt...
