The target FP7 release date is most definitely March 2017, so don't hold your breath in Jan/Feb

Re: IBM Cognos Analytics 11.0
Some forum readers who connect TM1 and BI for reporting/dashboard/analytics may be interested so thought I would post it anyway. Just be aware that it is only compatible with TM1 10.2.x onwards. Also if you are using SSL, there is a compatibility issue which will probably require a fix pack on both...

Re: TM1 10.3 - IBM Planning Analytics
Well if your IBM reps are as clued up as my IBM reps on what exactly is happening with the product, then I would rather believe what the TM1 product managers say directly  Seriously though, the message I saw was pretty clear, almost an apology that it wouldn't make the first version of Planning...

Re: TM1 10.3 - IBM Planning Analytics
At Vision there was talk of "smart caching". Preventing a single change in a cube from blowing out the cache for all the dependent cubes on unrelated calculations. I was kinda hoping we would see that in this release since we have a number of dynamic, driver based models, and its a bit si...

Re: TM1 10.3 - IBM Planning Analytics
If im not mistaken I think the new release will be to the IBM Cloud Version of TM1 first with On Premise coming middle of next year. Unfortunately this was my understanding also Yep the message I brought back from Insight is that it's cloud first, and that a potential release date for the full on p...

Re: Cognos TM1 and Bugs
In recent discussion with an IBM Support rep, at least one of the issue is how IBM is redefining what a defect is to make their internal KPIs look better than it really is... therefore less actual defects get fixed. I've had a couple of real defects according to traditional software development, ye...

Re: TM1 Server RAM
Thanks for your replies. I tried to word my question to make it more of a general survey as opposed to a "depends on how big your model is" debate :) I'm not sure though if I'm comforted or not by the lack of replies saying there's nothing unusual about such a large config... Stephen, to g...

TM1 Server RAM
Hi All, I've just joined an end-user company that is operating several TM1 servers for around 1500 worldwide users, all with exactly the same financial planning applications but each managing a geographical scope so that there are rarely over 200 declared users per server. Those "regional"...

Re: No records in transaction log query due to DefaultDispla
No, if you delete the entry for the specific client for }TM1_DefaultDisplayValue alias (or even directly type the principal name of client into the list box) then the query will work. The transaction log is in GMT so you need to make sure the time parameters are correct. Ok I typed the principal cl...

Re: No records in transaction log query due to DefaultDispla
Thanks for sharing that. I just came across this bug today.
So even if I change the }TM1_DefaultDisplayValue to match the }Clients value it still doesn't show anything in the transaction log.
Annoying when you need to backout a single user transaction hidden amongst many others...
