Dear experts, slowly I despair of how to access TM1 10.1 through Cognos Connection Poral 10.2  Situation: Cognos Connection Portal 10.2 is installed in the DMZ on our webserver and accessible from outside via a https-link. Locally inside our secured network we're operating all kind of BI report...

Re: Multiple EXCEL.EXE *32 processes running after a while
Hi Lazarus, many thanks for the insights ... too bad that these issue was never solved ... but good to know that there's no need for me to further investigate the issue ... However is there a 3rd party tool to just terminate all EXCEL.EXE *32 processes from time to time (e.g. using the task schedule...

Re: Multiple EXCEL.EXE *32 processes running after a while
Hey lotsaram,
thanks for your prompt reply. From time to time we indeed kill all that processes, but as mentioned we're talking about 50+ after one or two days ... doesn't sound like a permanent solution and my hope is that there's a possibility to ensure a proper termination of these processes ...

Multiple EXCEL.EXE *32 processes running after a while
Dear experts, We're no using our TM1 environment for our monthly reporting. After a while (few hours to a few days, depending on intensity of use) I notice multiple EXCEL.EXE *32 processes running on our TM1 server (up to 50!!), the taskmgr looks as follows: http://img832.imageshack.us/img832/8673/t...

Deactivate dialog "Are you sure you want to leave this page"
Dear experts, Now in our live environment a second usability question was raised in regards to the dialog boxes the web interface shows in cerstain situations. This time it's the point a user tries to close the TM1 tab in the Internet Explorer (8 or 9). Usually the following popup box appears: http:...

Re: Disable "Websheet Export" pop up window?
That sounds good, first time that I see this option! I'll give it a try tomorrow (as our German business day is coming to an end now :P ). @tomok: From time to time we need to use the element name, e.g. if we just want to extend '201201' to '201201_YTD'. Especially if we work with parts of the eleme...

Re: Disable "Websheet Export" pop up window?
Sorry for my unclear terminology. I hope that "element name" is the right terminology. For example: Element | description -------------------------------- 201201 | January 2012 201202 | February 2012 ... What I'm looking for is a functionality to retrieve the element name (201201, 201202)....

Re: Disable "Websheet Export" pop up window?
That's a good hint, especially for dimensions like language ... However we pretty often use the subnm to retrieve the technical id of an element. And all these subnm related dimensions are also provided in this pop up window. Any idea how to retrieve technical name without using subnm? Regards Thors...

Re: Disable "Websheet Export" pop up window?
Hi lotsaram,
Many thanks for your fast reply! Too bad that there's no customizing option for the pop up window. However I've limited the export to 10 and will have a look how our server is now performing.
Cheers
Thorsten

Disable "Websheet Export" pop up window?
