Re: Differences in time to open a Subset Editor?

So, we've confirmed it is the subsets that are being created by processes. Unfortunately we're not able to eliminate all of them so this is going to be an ongoing issue.

Does anyone know if there's a way to get TM1Web to ignore control subsets? That would solve a lot of our problems.

Re: Differences in time to open a Subset Editor?

We think we figured it out...we're restarting the server now after deleting some 14,000 control object subsets which are being created (one at a time) each time a specific process is run. We originally coded the process not to delete the subset when the process finished but to instead re-use the sub...

Differences in time to open a Subset Editor?

TM1 10.2.2 I'm trying to track down a setting or something that would effect the amount of time it takes to open a subset editor (SE) for any given dimension. We have several dimensions that are quite large and the amount of time it takes to open the SE has become problematic. We had assumed it was ...

Re: TM1Top session stuck with 'Run' under the 'State'

We built a home grown chore manager that allows chores to be multi-threaded. the trick is that all the threads need to complete before the next chore is kicked off or you risk locking/blocking by the upstream processes. The first thing we do is kick out all the users so that no one is logged in and ...

Re: STET'ing out all elements of a consolidation

All good suggestions...one additional complication is that the "Actuals Thru Date" attribute is scenario specific. We only actually have rules applying to 3 main scenarios (Rolling Forecast, Restricted Forecast, and Long Range Business Plan). The two forecast scenarios always have the same...

TM1Top session stuck with 'Run' under the 'State'

We've had a couple instances where users sessions get stuck with 'Run' under the 'State' header...but nothing is actually running. This occurs when a user crashes out of excel while talking to TM1 and they are able to log back in. The troubling thing is that we cannot get rid of the old session whic...

Re: STET'ing out all elements of a consolidation

So right now a rule that tells the system to use actuals instead of calculating a forecast number looks like this: [{'2006 BB TTD','2006 00','2006 01','2006 02','2006 03','2006 04','2006 05','2006 06','2006 07','2006 08','2006 09','2006 10','2006 11','2006 12', '2007 BB TTD','2007 00','2007 01','200...

STET'ing out all elements of a consolidation

Hi all, I've searched and not found a topic on this. I also can't find anything on it in my "Official Guide" Basically, we have two sets of time periods....Actualized time periods and Forcasted time periods. Right now, we change the rule file each month to add the newly "Actualized&qu...

Re: Display elements of a private subset on TM1Web

Thanks, sorry for the delay in responding. The point of this exercise is to allow users to run processes on a private subset of jobs. TI can't see into private subsets so I have to get the list of jobs put somewhere it can see them. I considered your first suggestion but then users would have to man...

Display elements of a private subset on TM1Web

I have a workbook that allows users to run processes against private subsets. It first pulls the elements of the private subset and displays them in a column of the workbook. Then each cell containing an element is passed as a parameter to a process which creates a public subset with the USERID tagg...

Re: Sorting a TI subset w/o using MDX

I was not aware of the @> and @< functionality. I will try that. As I said, I'm not a coder...I'm a finance user who dabbles a bit on the side. As for why I'm not using an MDX formula...it's because I am using the created subset in other processes and calls from a custom website we use to control ou...

Sorting a TI subset w/o using MDX

Okay, please don't laugh at me because I'm not a coder..but I played with this for a long time and this is as far as I got. I figured someone out here could help mature it based on what I've got. Basically, I create a temp subset with all my elements in it....then I run this code to create a final s...

Re: Feeders - won't re-fire when hierarchy changes

Okay, I answered my own question...it does work. I was able to change the job hierarchy and have the data not update correctly in the destination cube. Then I ran a TI to reprocess feeders on the source cube...and the values updated correctly in the destination cube. Unfortunately, this isn't a good...

Re: Feeders - won't re-fire when hierarchy changes

After reading several other posts...I think I know why it's not working. Nothing is changing at the leaf level of the source cube. I'm sending all jobs from the source cube to the destination cube but what's changing are the values of consolidations...not leafs. Based on this...do you think the &quo...

Feeders - won't re-fire when hierarchy changes

Hi all, I'm really struggling with this so I'll try to explain what's going on. We have two cube that are identical except for the "Job" name. Each level zero job in the destination cube is a consolidation in the source cube and has a suffix added to it. So job "TEST1" in the des...
