Rule derived element level security
First of all apologies if my question has already been answered on another thread - I did check but couldn't find what I was looking for. I have also read the article: Changes to TM1 Application deployment and rights-saving in TM1 10.2. I'm on v 10.2.2 with fix pack 5. The issue: I have a TM1 Web ap...

Re: Running a TI only if the data has changed
Thanks very much to everyone for your replies - it's really appreciated. My suggestion would be to use RunTI.exe which is included with 10.1 The solution would be to segregate the VALIDATION of the parameters for clearing data in the reporting cube and loading of new data from the actual EXECUTION. ...

Running a TI only if the data has changed
Hi all. I am on v10.1... Apologies for the long e-mail. If you haven't got time to read it all skip to the question right at the bottom! If you have got time you might be able to point out if I'm asking the wrong question - like a design fault perhaps. Setting the scene: I have 2 cubes - an input cu...

From the reference documentation This is a TM1® rules function, valid in both TM1 rules and TurboIntegrator processes. PAYMT returns the payment amount of an annuity based on a given initial value or principal, an interest rate, and a number of periods. An annuity is a series of payments made at eq...

Hi Lotsaram,
thanks for your reply. That makes perfect sense. I'll stick with the cell/named range for the commentary input.
Cheers

Hi all, I am attempting to buid submission/approval workflow into a model that I have built. I have a plan but would welcome any tips from others that have done this before. Re: C level rule to calculate average
No it's not. There must be some other reason. A numeric attribute is held in the attribute cube as if it were a string. You can try using it in a rule in the attribute cube to check this. This means that a numeric attribute value can be held against a consolidated item of the corresponding dimensio...

ATTRS/N or DB}ElementAttributes for rule?
Hi all, I was just wondering what the best practice is for referencing an attribute from within a rule. For example I could write the following 2 pieces of code within a rule to achieve the same result: ATTRS('Time_Day',!Time_Day,'Act For')@='Actual', or DB('}ElementAttributes_Time_Day',!Time_Day,'A...

Re: Qualifying string for ODBC Output
This is a very common problem in SQL since the apostrophe is a reserved character. I should know since my last name has an apostrophe in it and I can't tell you how many times a web site won't work for me because the numb-nuts programmer didn't take it into consideration. It's easy, just replace th...
