Hi,
I have a cell security cube for one of the cubes in TM1.
I put some rules in cell security cube to define cell level security for the main cube.
When I open the cell security cube, it displays security values properly as per the rule.
But when I suppress zeros, it does not display anything.
This normally indicates a problem with feeders to that cube.
However none of my rules in cell security cube are required to be fed from anywhere, they are all based on attributes in dimensions of the cube.
Users are not able to view data in some slices of the main cube although I can see as admin.
Do I need to use Feedstrings statement in the rule of cell security cube? I tried this as well but did not help.
Do I need to use Skipcheck, while I do not have anythis to add as feeders?
I would appreciate if you can advise what might be causing the problem.
Thanks in advance for all replies.
Regards,
Rules in Cell Security Cube

Re: Rules in Cell Security Cube
you are suppressing zeros on a view for cell security cube? that would not affect security.
Can you verify that the rules you wrote are correct?
Have you tried to populate the cube without rules as a test?

Re: Rules in Cell Security Cube
Now realized that cell security was actually working properly, but I am confused with not seing anything when zero suppressed in cell security cube. Is it normal?

Re: Rules in Cell Security Cube
I have not attempted to do that as I rarely use cell security. Is there a requirement for you to suppress zeros?
The only way it would not get suppressed would be if you used a FEEDSTRINGS statement and subsequent feeders. Otherwise, rule calculated string values are always suppressed with zero suppression.
