Error in tm1.xla in Excel2010

Post by telula »

All,
When we open excel2010 with TM1v9.0 add-ins, we get this error.

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="yes" ?>
- <recoveryLog xmlns="http://schemas.openxmlformats.org/sprea ... /2006/main">
<logFileName>error040760_01.xml</logFileName>
<summary>Errors were detected in file 'C:\Program Files\Applix\bin\tm1.xla'</summary>
- <additionalInfo>
<info>This workbook has lost its VBA project, ActiveX controls and any other programmability-related features.</info>
</additionalInfo>
</recoveryLog>

Does anyone have any ideas on how to correct this?

No current version of TM1 is supported with Excel 2010. Excel 2007 is supported with 9.4 or later, though earlier versions could be made to work with errors.

If this were a dictatorship, it would be a heck of a lot easier, just so long as I'm the dictator.

This error typically occurs when VBA is disabled or not installed.

If you start Excel fresh (without any add-ins), can you access/start the Visual Basic Editor (Tools > Macro > Visual Basic Editor)? If not, then the cause of the problem is either:

a) the "VBA" installation setting was set to "Not Available" when you installed Excel OR
b) the "Disable VBA for Office Applications" system policy is in effect.

Try this and let us know

Hi,

I am getting the same error in Excel 2007-
Yes, I read the last message- And I went to see if Visual Basic (or Macros) is available - and the answer is NO-
I dont know what to do next- Do I ask (to my IT dpt) to have the Visual Basic allowed?
Thanks
Micheline
