}ClientGroups cube not in sync. with Cognos BI

Hi all!

We are using Cognos TM1 with Cognos BI Security -> IntegratedSecurityMode=5
(For reference: http://pic.dhe.ibm.com/infocenter/ctm1/ ... urity.html)

We are (and have been for some time) experiencing really wierd access issues, where different users in the same group BI group do not have the same access. As a result of troubleshooting, we have found that the }ClientGroups cube is not in sync with the acutal BI group assignments. Is there a way to synchronize this cube with BI manually? Does anyone know what triggers such a synchronization (other than importing users / groups)?

We have now found that the }ClientGroups cube at least is updated for clients when they log into Application Web / BI.

The current problem was actually "solved" by just adding/removing the user to/from another group (i.e. exact same situation as before when it did not work, except the user had been member of a different group for a short period of time).

Still no clue what the real issue is caused by though..

Have you found any solution to sync without clients log into web/architect?

Hi,

normally they should be assigned to the Groups in TM1/PA when logging in, not just in the WebClients.

I had similar issues with some Users and it seems to be a Bug, as removing the User worked everytime to fix the issue (after removing they will be updated correctly again, even if you assign new Groups in the LDAP)
