Post by Steve Rowe »

Repost of a thread in an IBM partner forum, release does not seem to have been widely announced, however it is out.
Please see the following link;

The supported environments page has been updated to show full Windows 2016 Support for both the core TM1 components and the workspace.

I was testing this since last week and not really getting positive result as Native Docker for Windows will use Windows Container and that resulted in massive Windows components being pull down and the MongoDB component in my case keep crashing and I can't get all the required services running due to MongoDB issue. May be some of you have better luck but I am going back to Linux for the time being.

Thanks Kang, we're working through the install here, I know we have got as far as needing a windows update, not sure if we have got passed that yet. Will keep the group updated.

Great. Keep us posted.
By the way, monitor the memory as I am testing it under a 16GB machine and for some reason I keep running out of memory though I am using the standard tiny sample SData instance under PA 2.0.1.

Have you had any luck in getting this up and running on 2016 natively using docker, we have problems installing PAW in this way, are you able to confirm the setup you used to get this working?

See attached - We have had a number of errors trying to run the admin tool via powershell after the install. We are trying version 2.0.23.

I would try updating the docker images. If that doesn't work, I would next try completely clearing the docker admins in the shell and then reloading them. Also look at [docker container stats] in the shell. This will let you know if the other containers are running correctly and whether it is just the admin container that is failing to start. Knowing that could help in diagnosing the issue.
