Not I. Would like to. I want to get familiar with Palo, but haven't had a chance.

Hi Dave

We should arrange to meet up - are you going to be there the night before? I have booked into the hotel where the conference is being held.

Mark? Which one :P

John,
Myself and Mark Kobrin are staying at the Steigenberger Hotel the night before the User Conference. We are going to be at the reseller conference during Thursday afternoon. We will definitely in the bar for ein bier oder zwei!

Dave.

We will also be at the Thursday afternoon partner meeting. For me it's not yet clear where we will be staying, but I definitely would like to meet you guys in the bar.
I assume I have to look for a guy with multiple moustaches then?

So to meet up on Thursday evening before the conference....

How about the
Lobbybar & Bistro Con.nex.ion

Night & Day: With its 24 hour service, the “Con.nex.ion” is the ideal meeting place for guests and visitors from all over the world. The ambience is light, modern and spacious. The culinary offerings are suited to all times of the day and night – offering breakfast, a quick lunch, delicious cakes, as well as national & international snacks. The bar serves a wide variety of drinks, including diverse spirits and cocktails. In summer a large terrace can be enjoyed.
By about 7.00 p.m. I will probably be inhabiting a dark corner and nursing a Kronenhof Hell (a bit like Spreadsheet Hell but much, much more fun).

I will have shaved off my multiple moustaches and will look more like the surfer dude in the current avatar but will not be wearing a rubber suit (at least not until much later in the evening.)

An interesting day - A room full of about 150 people and a lot of interesting stuff happening.

The soon to be free Worksheet Server web tool they demo'd caused the person sitting next to me to say "TM1 web eat your heart out". (Basically because it looked like it worked, which has never been the case with TM1 web demos I've seen  )

And it was all done in English although only about 6 of us were from UK or Oz! Amazing.

It was good to put a face to some names over dinner and to meet up with some old Applix friends who have gone over to the dark side afterwards.

Actually, apart from all the OLAP stuff, it was worth it just to be told by one delegate about another open source product called "yuuguu" which is to Webex what Palo is to TM1.

Hopefully Jedox will eventually learn that a conference that ends at 5 p.m. on a Friday is not everyone's favourite scheduling - especially those of us with international flights to catch

It looks as if this product is maturing very fast and getting some serious attention now - It sounds like we can expect to see it featured in the OLAP report once it get over the response threshold and then we might see some serious corporate interest.

I guess you mean Yugma?

One of the interesting things on the PALO User Conference was meeting some TM1 consultancy/reseller firms that are partner since "the old days" (Sinper/Applix), co-responsible for this product gaining market share, which are all struggling now to get/keep a decent contract with Cognos and are all looking at or joining the [JH]Dark Side[/JH] now.

I use to use yuuguu. It was ok 3 years ago, I am sure it has made many advancements.

Blimey there's loads of them :P

Does anyone have any experience of these 2 apps for "webexing"? If so care to share which you prefer and why?

John, you're not refering to one of my user day demos are you?
Sounds like it was a good event.

Perish the thought Jason

I seem to recall that you were always very careful to make sure your demos steered around the holes in the road.
