Tm1Web URL link

Post by Lewis »

Has anyone had an success with placing a Tm1Web object (websheet) in a dashboard
that can be recalc'd ?? I have been able to launch the web page but it
is not logged in even though I am using intergrated login in Tm1web.

If anyone has any code or procedure for doing this - it would be much appreciated.

Thank
Lewis

Not sure I understand the question, but I have a few either way.

IE or FF? I think it does but I am not sure if that version support FF.

Also check you browser integrated login setting

If that doesn't help let me know

IE 7 - integrated login works fine with normal Tm1web page

I have a URL link that will open a websheet but it does not log me in to Tm1 ,
missing something in the process - Tm1 documentation could be a little better

I can't answer the integrated login question (our web users generally access it through a VPN and fob key so it's not really a viable option for us even if we wanted it which, to be honest, I don't), but in general 9.1 SP3 does support Firefox... kinda. And only after you tweak the FF configuration.

The problem is that the display looks like crud. For example if you have the gridlines turned off in a websheet then the display will be correct in IE (6 or 7), but the gridlines will still be visible in FF. Also, even if you insert graphics as .pngs (which is the only way to avoid jaggies in websheet graphics which are viewed in IE), the graphics will look like they were drawn by a 2 year old in FF. A 2 year old who's really bad at keeping inside the lines.

I haven't dared even try Safari.

I BS my way through this in my end user training materials by saying that "You should only use IE because TM1 Web has been optimised for it, blah, blah"... but the reality? I suspect that as soon as the development team got a websheet to display AT ALL in FF, they just ticked the box and said "Yup, supports FireFox!"
"To them, equipment failure is terrifying. To me, it’s 'Tuesday.' "

If this were a dictatorship, it would be a heck of a lot easier, just so long as I'm the dictator.
