CAFE & Excel 2013

Post by hittony »

Hello,

Since we upgraded Excel to 2013, it seems that the performance is not as good as before, especially when we active our CAFE tab 10.2.2 FP6
When I tried to switch between Excel files, CAFE being active, I can see the mouse pointer in busy status for some time. This doesn't happen when CAFE is inactive.
Then I tried to turn off all unnecessory animations in the Control Panel, it didn't help.

Thanks for your sharing :)

Hello,

We experienced this. Do you happen to be using other add-ins in Excel. When examining the dump logs, we found these older (non-supported) add-ins were the root cause. For some reason, CAFE didn't work nicely with them. You may want to try examining the dump logging, or asking your help desk to do so.

Removing these seemed to fix the user issues.

hope this helps,

Thanks ellissj3 for your reply.

There was no crash, how there could be dump logging ?

The experince today is better, the laps of time when the mouse pointer is in busy status is less long, this should be related to the network configurations because a different connection is used.
