TM1 10.2.2 Fix Pack 7 delayed

Post by jcr55 »

I was originally told by our IBM account rep that Fix Pack 7 would be released March 29th.
But now he says the new target date is Monday April 3rd.
... if anyone is interested ...

I am. That's supposed to be the one that has the "You don't need to waste time fluffing around with gorramn SSL certificates that should have been replaced 2 or 3 years ago" version. It was expected in Q1 of 2017 which from my perspective finishes in just over 16 hours. I had been occasionally thinking about this in the last couple of weeks.
"To them, equipment failure is terrifying. To me, it’s 'Tuesday.' "

I found the interim fix patch 6 seemed to fix the SSL issue automatically

Hi Paul, your link seems to be for Cognos BI - TM1 10.2.2 FP7 does not look to be available yet but fixes are at http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.w ... wg27041360

Any issues with upgrading or do I just hit next like I normally do?

Does it actually address the issue that Alan mentioned? I don't see it in "Issues corrected in IBM Cognos TM1 10.2.2 FP7.", but may be they don't consider it an issue...

I've installed to my local machine and can confirm that the Certificates that come with Fix Pack 7 are all dated 25th March 2017

The Certificate Authority defaults to:

C:\Program Files\ibm\cognos\tm1_64\bin\ssl\tm1ca_v2.pem

(But I have various installs over the lifetime of this laptop)

Changing the certificate to:

C:\Program Files\ibm\cognos\tm1_64\bin64\ssl\applixca.pem

Revealed the sample models

In Cognos Configuration the "TM1 Admin Server", TM1 Admin Server Certificate Version is set to 1
