Re: Integrated Login: Domain Account Vs Local System

Hi There are steps in the TM1 Operations Guide that cover this. It is relatively easy to set up for TM1 Client Integrated Login. In fact if you get the right settings during the installation it should work straight away. One thing that you may have missed from the web.config is the impersonate setti...

Re: Office 2007 with TM1

Hi Check the PATH to see if there are any references to folders that have 2003 or a prior version of TM1 Make sure that you are still loading the TM1P.XLA add in and not the ribbon. Have you tried unticking the add in, shutting down excel and then starting Excel by clicking the tm1p.xla or (from the...

Re: 9.5.2 - New Features and Issues

Hi

Someone mentioned that 9.5.2 supports Excel 2010. Is that the case? I couldn't see it in the release notes. I would try it but the last time I tried 2010 with TM1 9.5.1 we had to manually edit the registry to back it out.

Re: TM1 9.5.1 Multi-Server Configuration

I would put TomCat on the same server as IIS.

Most of the load is likely to be on the TM1 Server. Sandbox data is held on the TM1 Server.

Re: Transfer data between cubes via rules and attributes

zamp900 I think that the problem may be this. You must be writing the rule in the Summary Cube for it to pull in the data. I am assuming that !Analysis Accounts is the name of the Summarised Accounts dimension. However, from your description, your mapping cube has the detailed account dimension. The...

Re: How to consolidate dimension with maximum of children?

Hi abcuser I hadn't noticed the consolidation scheme in the other dimension. I made a small modification to the rules I submitted earlier for the MaxTextChild cube, which I believe does what you want. MaxVal.JPG The change to the rules is highlighted in bold below. It uses ConsolidateChildren. I am ...

Hi yyi

I would be interested in the source code.

By the way, I couldn't read the file that you attached. It had a .xls extension but it was not recognised as an excel file.

Re: TM1 Web vs Excel view inconsistencies

jo I believe that custom formats like the sub total one are not supported in TM1 Web. I guess that the answer is to add a column and use a format to concatenate the cells. With regard to the missing columns, check that all the range names prefixed by TM1 have the correct ranges. The only row that ma...

Re: Dynamic slice is a classic slice

John If you keep using Dynamic Slices for a while then you will soon find out. While the functionality was brilliant, the reliability wasn't. They would periodically stop working or disappear altogether. I would guess that the issue was in coping with the vagueries of the various versions of Excel a...

Re: dbr or dbs or dbsw stop working

Yes M_CLEAR seems likely. Excel caches up some of the TM1 data, and using the M_CLEAR macro can be used to force Excel to refresh its local cache of TM1 data. I have also used it in the past to get Dynamic MDX subsets to refresh.

Re: How to consolidate dimension with maximum of children?

Hi abcuser I think I may have a more flexible solution for you. This uses two cubes, and will work with an arbitrary number of levels in the hierarchy, including ragged hierarchies. I am not sure what the performance will be like on a real world cube. Depending on how important it is to you to have ...

Re: Alias to Element

Hi I am not sure that I fully understand the issue, however, there are a couple of things that might help: To get the underlying element name from an alias you can do two things Use the DimensionElementPrincipalName TI Function or use the old dimnm( dim, dimix( dim, elem)) Depending on your version ...

Hi I think you may have missed a part of blackhawk's suggestion Assuming that you have access to the standard planning_sample cubes you can try the following on the plan_chart_of_accounts dimension. I have tried this and it does definitely sort alphabetically by the given Alias which in that dimensi...

Re: Active form returns zeroes

Hi I am just wondering if there is a difference in the version of Excel that you have on the web server compared to the client? That might perhaps explain why it worked in TM1 Web but not in the Client. I was having so many problems with Excel 2007 and TM1 Web that I had to revert to developing in E...

Re: Public View with a Private Subset

Jeremy If you need the zero suppression then one option is to use an Active Form. I am not clear as to whether the user specific subset is in the title area or on rows. Either way, so long as it is not on columns then the Active Form can help you. Personally if you don't have to work on TM1 Web then...

If it helps, I have some routines that generate the TI script necessary to re-create views from the existing views on the cube. I have done this sort of thing in the past and used excel formula to modify the generated script to add in lines for the new dimension in the cube so that it is in the titl...

Would I be correct in guessing that the accounts for which you want the last child of the date dimension are balance sheet nominals, while the accounts for which you don't want this are profit and loss nominals? I would suggest that you consider using two alternate hierarchies in your time dimension...

Re: tm1 can load in excel 2010

Jorel So provided that the issue is nothing to do with you having Windows 7 which I doubt, then it would seem that if I apply HF8 and HF12 then I should be able to get it work. The only outstanding bug seems to be the drill down in Active Forms, which we could live without for a while, if necessary....
