Re: Can you use an ATTRS within a DIMIX rules function?
All, sorry I forgot to add the ful rule that I used at the bottom of my post - here it is: []=N: IF( ELISCOMP('Project_Measures',!Project_Measures,'FY 2011')=1, IF( DIMIX('Time_Month',ATTRS('Project_Measures',!Project_Measures,'TimeMonthValue'))<DIMIX('Time_Month',DB('Original Budget',!PAAR_AFE,!T3,...

Re: Can you use an ATTRS within a DIMIX rules function?
Declanr, thanks for your post. Your suggestion of dropping the DB() worked. I thought that I was taking the "safer" approach using DB(). It was my understanding that whilst some rules require you to refer to internal elements within the DB() to work as opposed to the square brackets - this...

Can you use an ATTRS within a DIMIX rules function?
Hi, I have a project budget cube in which an end user will put in a start and end date of a project and then input the budget phased monthly. I wish to write a rule that only enables the user to enter budget data into the months that fall within the start and end date of the project. Sounds simple e...

Re: Display Flag cube - Conditional Feeder
Gregor, many thanks for your input. The rule to populate the flag was killing the performance of the cube. I have deleted the rule and followed your advice with a TI as the flag does not need to be real time. The TI works and performance is unaffected. I have also scheduled the TI to run nightly. Th...

Display Flag cube - Conditional Feeder
Hi, I have a Display Flag Cube. The intention of this cube is to feed other cubes (Budget, Costs etc) with a flag "1" so that when zero's are suppressed any row with a flag will still be visible. Then at the start of the budget process when the user enters his budget via an active form he ...

Problem feeding rule based on ATTRS
Hi, I have looked at other posts re feeding rules and tried to follow some of the solutions but cannot seem to make one fit my problem. Apologies if a solution to my problem has already been posted and I've just misinterpreted it. My Problem: I have 2 cubes: 1. A forecast cube with a measures dimens...

Re: Compare string with a less than sign "@<="
Tomok, thanks for the advice. Originally I thought that given I am DIMIX on a time dimesnions it should be pretty safe as future users would be unlikely to ammend the element order fo a time dimension - but you are right it would be much safer to work of a order number attribute. I will implement it...

Re: Compare string with a less than sign "@<="
Lotsaram, Thanks for your reply. What you say re the string comparison and the letters of the alphabet makes perfect sence and it's not random at all (the clues in the name really "String Comparison"...I should have picked up on that)! I have ammended my rule as follows: # The following co...

Compare string with a less than sign "@<="
Hi, I have built a Forecast cube which holds budget and actual costs by month. The Measures dim has Budget, Actual, Variance and Forecast. The variance calculates the variance between budget and actual costs. I do not want the variance calculation to be part of the hierarchy because I only want a va...

Tomok, many thanks for your help so far. I still have probloems with picklists though. I have created a new cube for setting up a project. Pick list failed to data spread
Hi, I have a cube with 3 dimensions. One dimension has an element with a pick list as an element attribute. The pick list is another dimension. The pick list brings a forecast curve into the cube - depending on what curve you select it spreads a total budget cost over the forecast months by multiply...

Active Form - cannot display Alias
Hi, I have created an active form in Excel 2003 with TM1 9.5.2. In the first colmn the active form is displaying all of the cost centres of the cost centre dimension. The formula looks like this: =TM1RPTROW($B$9,"tm1_tcms:T1","",'{AR}441'!$B$18:$B$160,"",0) and returns ...
