Yeah, there are plenty of good reasons for that. But it's Friday night and I don't plan to spoil my weekend by rehashing them.

Re: convert string to code TM1

Another way might be to use the Bedrock library, where most of the code has been built for you. Specifically, the }bedrock.cube.data.copy process.

Re: TM1 Perspectives support for Office 365 & Excel 2019

I've been also using TM1 Perspectives with Microsoft Office 365 no problem. Unlike the previous Office versions, you are getting Office 365 updates more often As I wrote above, OFFICE 365 is now the name that Microsoft is using for the WEB BASED version of Office, and has been for two years. The su...

Re: TM1 Perspectives support for Office 365 & Excel 2019

How did you get the add-in to work with Office 365 versus Office 2016? I use the Perspectives add-in. Not sure how to get this to work with 365. Thanks for any assistance. Note the dates on the previous messages in this thread; 2020. Now, Microsoft being Microsoft and loving to rename things just t...

Re: Process Fails with error "Could not initialize process"

Could be, could be and could be. My comment was also before coffee but let's see what the OP comes back with on what is in the server log. Agreed. Could also be that somehow the necessary parameters are not being sent when called from Contributor. That shouldn't cause this specific error. In my exp...

Re: Process Fails with error "Could not initialize process"

Check the case you are using as Contributor implies Java which likely going to be case-sensitive. Yabbut... an ExecuteProcess call from one process to another will be entirely on the back end. Contributor calls TI1, then T11 calls TI2. The UI in the first step shouldn't play a part in the second of...

Re: Process Fails with error "Could not initialize process"

Hi All, I have a TI (TI1) Process that calls another TI2 process in the Epilog. TI1 works fine when I run it from Architect. When I run this from contributor , TI1 fails with error "Could not initialize process". If I comment the TI2 process in the epilog, TI1 runs fine. The overwhelming ...

It's somewhere in 10.2.2. I could look it up but it's academic, because there were a lot of feature gaps in the 10.x iterations. To get the full API functionality requires a jump to one of the PA2 releases.

Version 2.0.9.13 was released on 25 April 2022. Good luck to anyone who suffers from triskaidekaphobia. (Of course jumping straight into ANY new release regardless of number has risks.) One thing that hasn't come up so far is that in your previous thread you put the heading as "How the client PC connect to a remote Tm1 Server in another PC". This raises a few questions. Have you installed the TM1 server software (and Admin server software) on a Windows Server , NOT a desk...

I just found out today that TM1 can create zipfiles, natively !
And it's even very simple with a oneliner. Run the attached process if you want to know how.

Happy TM1'ing !
Well, the compression algorithm would be far more efficient than Windows' native one, I'll give you that...

Re: SubsetElementExists, Aliases and Principal Names

It would be a 100% bug if the 'normal' users were ever presented with a message saying Italia does not belong in the subset ItalianSpeakingCountries. But they could. For example, if they were running a TI process via an action button, and the TI checked that an element was in a subset. This isn't m...

Hello Alan, it´s too bad that TM1 Web doesn´t support VBA coding in Excel. Nevertheless thank you for your Explanation. Best regards, That is indeed the case, but TM1 Web will not be around for that long. As with Perspectives, IBM is doing everything it can to kill it. I wouldn't count on that. Oh,...

SubsetElementExists, Aliases and Principal Names

I'm not sure whether this should be treated as a bug (at least in my version; PA 2.0.6 at the time of writing), or just something to be aware of. (I know which one IBM would regard it as being; after all, "support" is mostly a way for us to pay money, not to get anything fixed.) The short ...

It is. It's covered in the thread to be found here, and this one here. Still, I'm glad that you posted that because this thread could do with the update. I had forgotten about it before now.
