Re: TM1 web security websheet question
Hello - We have 10 profit centers under 1 dimension. A user logins into TM1 web, goes to applications and opens up a websheet that is saved and is able to see all 10 elements under that dimension. When the user builds that exact same websheet in views, the user is only able to see 1 profit center u...

Re: Feeder took 20 min to save. Can we reduce it?
Hi, I am struggling to see how a TI process wouldn't be more logical than a unfed rule in the case of rates? regards, Mark Because the percentages, at whatever level in the dimensions, need to be calculated in real time ? This depends on the purpose of "Rate". If Rate is the result of a c...

Re: Table-Valued function as data source in TI
Hi, does anyone know whether it's possible to use a table-valued function in the data source of a TI? i.e. select * from tfn_Test1 ('Param1','Param2') At the moment I'm getting an SQL statement failing error I remember I saw stored procedures working, but never tried table-valued functions Thank yo...

Re: CCC scheduled tasks failing on Cloud
Not sure how many people are running Cognos Command Center but had our tasks failing since Saturday after IBM carried out some scheduled maintenance. When running the tasks scheduled or manual, in CCC, the 1st step to test TM1 Server connectivity failed with "Task disappeared". Subsequent...

Re: Rule set value to zero
Fed cells are fed and take up memory, regardless of whether or not there is an actual value in the cube that has been fed. I am hesitant to declare it not to be best practice as there may be situations where it is the right answer. However, in most instances I would use STET instead of assigning a z...

Re: TM1S Logging Properties - Capturing form publishing
Not sure what kind of activity you are trying to log but if it is TM1 related, you may try: Thanks. I am trying to capture whenever someone publishes a file in the }Applications folder. We had someone update a form and screwed it up by publishing from an outdated file. Now no one wants to take resp...

TM1S Logging Properties - Capturing form publishing
Does anyone know if it is possible to add parameters to the tm1slog.properties file to log activity in the }Applications folder? If so, what would the parameters be?

Re: TI create view for loading data into
I agree with Wim that we need more information: Where is the data coming from that you are loading into the target cube? If it is a cube, what is the dimensionality of the source and target cubes? What do you mean by "fill in data on consolidated cells"? Please be specific. If you plan on ...

Re: Deleting the Admin account
Complete lunacy as the account is protected with a long random generated password in case mode 1 is ever used. This is only true when you are using IBM's Cloud environment and you can remove the password if you want so that it is blank. I did that on our Cloud development server so that if I ever n...

Re: Is it safe to overwrite }Clients alias }TM1_DefaultDisplayValue?
Hello tm1f, Is it safe to overwrite }Clients alias }TM1_DefaultDisplayValue? We are using Mode 5 / CAM authentication; Some of the "friendly" names I am seeing are vary between: DOMAIN/person@domain.com DOMAIN/Proper_Case_First_Name ALL_CAPS_LAST_NAME so I wanted to sanitize it and ideall...

Re: Cube missing after server restart
Hi Team, I had to restart my server to update dimensional changes. After server restart i am unable to see an existing cube. I can view the .cub file in data folder but cube doesn't appear, however i can view the cube name in cubes dimension. Could you please suggest what might have gone wrong. The...

Re: Tm1s.cfg my own parameters
BTW, I don't like the idea of having prod and non-prod services sharing the same name. YMMV. My mileage varies greatly indeed. If I'm having users testing reports in a dev environment (especially complex reports which draw from multiple servers), websheets on TM1 web etc, etc, I want them using EXA...

Re: Tm1s.cfg my own parameters
We have different names for each tm1 server, also (though very rarely) we can have multiple production servers at the same time for different purposes ( e.g. on one production server users are closing current month, on another previous month) In this case we should handle some cube and update it wi...

Re: Tm1s.cfg my own parameters
Hi all, Is there any issues with adding parameters in tm1s.cfg which don't exist? E.g. we need parameter to determine if current model is production or non-production (lets call it ProductionServer=0) The idea is: at model startup chore executes, process reads tm1s.cfg and puts this parameter into ...

Re: Remote desktop to IBM cloud with credentials
We have several RDP IDs because we have several admin users and I was able to hard code the ID in the RDP file by just manually editing it via Notepad. No luck with the password though. I just keep the password in a file on my desktop so I can put it onto my clipboard every time I need to connect to...

Re: Checkboxes for "flag" measures in TM1
Hi Tomok, I get it now and I have learned something, thanks! Do you wrap an iferror around your formula or how do you handle where a user may click on an invalid cell? This is primarily aimed at TM1Web so you can't stop someone from clicking on an action button, regardless of where the cursor is lo...

Re: Checkboxes for "flag" measures in TM1
Hi Tomok, how does your formula work? I don't really get it. I would understand if you had used something like: Indirect(Address(Cell("row"),Cell("col"))) But I don't see how your formula tells you what cell you are on and then gets the value? Maren The purpose of the OFFSET for...

Re: Checkboxes for "flag" measures in TM1
I use checkboxes in TM1 sometimes to indicate to a user whenever something is turned ON or OFF but I use a font to do it. In Wingdings 2, uppercase P is a check mark. I can then use an IF statement in the form to "turn" the value in the flag field to "P" if it is on or nothing if...
