Re: ATTRS rules in }ElementAttribute cube causes a TI to load data slowly in 2.0.9.15

Hi,

We are not using localization.

The issues are definitely connected and waiting for a response from IBM.

I am hoping it will be fixed soon.

Re: ATTRS rules in }ElementAttribute cube causes a TI to load data slowly in 2.0.9.15

Thanks Wim. I have isolated the code even more now. If you have this line in your startup chore or TI Process that's add Dependencies AddCubeDependency('S_Consolidated','}ElementAttributes_Account'); Once this is run, the }ElementAttribute cube as the second part then run the TI will go really slow....

ATTRS rules in }ElementAttribute cube causes a TI to load data slowly in 2.0.9.15

HI, We are looking to upgrade our Planning Analytics server to the latest version 2.0.9.15 from 2.0.9.11 and have noticed some significant issues in transfer data from a cube to cube transfer in both versions 2.0.9.13 and 2.0.9.15. We have 70 lines of data from One cube which normally takes seconds ...

Cube Drill - PAX - bug (And workaround)

Hello All, We have been doing some work on Cube Drills in PAX and have noticed the following bug : If you have a cube drill and only have a row defined in the cube view it will return the right view but will be blank. To get a drill through to work in PAX you need to have at least 1 dimension define...

Re: Internal Rules Using DB

Jim, Been working with TM1 for a number of years and have never heard this argument. My colleague comments are: " I found it five or more years ago, and at the time the practice did indeed produce favourable results in testing, but I have since lost track of the original source of the informati...

Internal Rules Using DB

All, I am having a debate with a colleague regarding writing TM1 rules in a internal cube. We have a Demand cube: Version, Year, Month, Products, Cost_Centre, Measures: Operating Volumes, Operating Units and Demand I would write a internal rule the following way: ['Demand']=n:['Operating Volumes']*[...

Re: BI Reporting From TM1

I have seen that issue with BI in the past as it doesnt like ragged hierarchies. Try the following test: a) Create a TM1 Attribute call = Nlevel in TM1. b) Manually 1st add all the codes you want to see eventhrough they are at different levels (You can use a attribute rule at a later stage) These sh...

Re: Process Sheets and TM1 9.5.1

I would suggest using TI as I think the log files are lost somewhere..... Also when 9.4 was released process worksheets had degraded in performance from 9.1 and 9.4 which loaded data incredibly slow. Testing also missed this problem and we ended up having taking all the process worksheets files and ...

Hello, Connect to ODBO to extract MSAS data to TM1 I found the following so far.... Problem 1) CAM Security and MSAS - ODBO is a nightmare to connect with TM1. I am still working around getting MSAS and loading into TM1 cube with CAM Security. IBM have the following note: "Connecting to an OLE ...

Re: Missing title elements in a view, TM1 9.5 and up

Wim,

I have noticed that before with a client running Windows 7. The client installed the client on another machine and it worked(non windows 7). I had thought afterwards they could have deleted the tm1p.ini file and this could have cured the problem.

Re: How do feeders actually work?

To feed or not to feed..... If you don't feed a system it starts up time will be lighting fast but when doing calculations it will take a long time to cache. If you have feeders in a system the start up time is slower but the response time for the calculations is much faster. “Some small, simple r...

Re: Limited TM1 attribute functionality in C8 report studio

In TM1 world you have to be specific names for your dimensional hierarchy. If you consider a 2 Level Time dimension : - Year / Month it would look the following: 2010 Jan 10 Feb 10 Mar 10 . . . etc What you could do is the following : a) Create 2 attributes on your time dimension: Month Year Element...

Re: Cognos Controller & TM1

A side thought on Controller & TM1. You can create a linkage between Controller and TM1 if you are working with Controller 8.4 or less. How is this done........ 1) Write a number of Views in SQL to extract the Controller Tables to specific views that can be used in 2). 2) Uses these views to a) ...

Re: Rules Tracer Window

It could be that your Rules Tracer window has been corrupted. I would suggest the following: 1) Exit TM1 on your machine 2) Delete the TM1p.ini file 3) re-start TM1 and in doing so will re-create the TM1p.ini file. This should solve your rules tracer issue. BTW what version of TM1 are you running? H...

Re: TM1 Help

I think its safe to say the file can stay in the current location. I think the problem could be somewhere else.

Is this a new process or a process that has been running for a while without a problem?

What TM1 version are you running at the moment?

Re: TM1 Help

Just to take Paul comments a step further..... In your TI process the file you mapping to has 2 data source areas: Data Source Name = Data Source Name on Server = You are logging onto your machine on TM1 Perspectives and not the physical TM1 box. Your TI would look the following in the data source t...

Jackie,

Report Studio show all attributes (Non - Alias) in the viewer.

When you are importing the cube in FrameWork manager there is an option to load an alias. You should be able this in framework manager.

Re: tm1sd.exe file mysteriously re-executed

I see the last action prior to the server restarting was :

"2472 INFO 2010-03-01 13:51:23,758 TM1.Process Process "}Drill_FS Source" finished executing normally, elapsed time 0.08 seconds"

Was this drill through run the previous month when you had a similar restart?
