Write access denied for admin
Hello, I have a problem entering data in a cube. I did enter some data in that cube until a few days ago. I'm logged as an admin, there are no calculation rules. I'm trying to enter data at a leaf level. I'm working with version 10.1. If I build another cube with exactly the same dimensions, I'm abl...

Re: Problem with Operations console installation
Thanks for your answer. I had searched for the file only in Webapps folder... As a matter of fact, that's always a mistery to know why some changes are undocumented... I was able to modify the ObsConfig.xml file, and to start the Operations Console. Now I have to get familiar with this new interface...

Problem with Operations console installation
Hello, I have installed TM1 V10.2 on a windows 2008 R2 server. I tried to follow the steps described in IBM guide to be able to use operations console. Regarding certificates, I had the message "Certificate was added to keystore", except that in my configuration I had only a 7.0 folder (no...

Re: Security Requirement in TM1 !!!
No, all users belonging to one group have exactly the same rights. You need to create as many groups as you have Asset Managers in your case.Is it possible that we can assign different security capabilities to the clients of same group in TM1?

Re: What's wrong with my rule? :(
The rule works fine: great ! Could you show us the feeder that is currently in the rules ? I don't know if you are feeding your calculation from Proportion or Signage. But as this value (Proportion or Signage) comes from an external cube, it has to be fed itself correctly also... By the way, is ther...

Re: What's wrong with my rule? :(
Thanks Catherine for the tips... after going to zero level on all dimensions, I still obtain zeroes... Are you sure that there were some data on the corresponding Proportion and Signage ? Because your rule is a little bit complex regarding the crossings where you have your data. I would suggest tha...

Re: What's wrong with my rule? :(
I would say your rule is not fed correctly. 1. For your information, you should build a view, go to a leaf level on all dimensions to validate if your rule works properly. Then, if it works, choose a consolidation on any dimension. If you obtain 0 or a wrong result, then it means that you have not w...

Re: Summarising numbers in an output cube
I get a syntax error around the Products bit. This is logic, you write your rule in the BuyerVolumes cube, which does not contain the Products dimension, so he does not understand !Products I know I could have the buyers in the products dimension as a hierarchy but that would be too easy. You've go...

Re: Rule related question
Hi, The right syntax would be: ['Average Purchase Price/Kg' ] = N: ['Purchase Cost' ] \ ['Quantity in Stock - Kgs' ] ; C:0; And it would mean that your average cost would be calculated only at leaf levels, and you would see 0 on all consolidations. I think it makes sense to calculate an average cost...

Re: Counter in while loop
Hi,
Yes, it is. That would be something like that (not tested...):
i=1;
While (i<=200);
DimensionElementInsert('Department','','Department_'|i,'S');
i=i+1;
end;
Your element names would then be:
Department_1
Department_2
...
Department_200
Is that what you're looking for?

Re: TM1 is out of memory, exiting...
As a matter of fact, this message appears when opening "big" Excel reports. But the thing is (after some testing) that it is clearly linked to HF21. The problem first appeared after the hot fix installation. Some Excel files refreshing before without problem are now provoking this error. I...

TM1 is out of memory, exiting...
Hi everybody, Our users experience some excel crashes, with the message: "TM1 is out of memory, exiting...". This is is a crash on the client side, everything is fine on the server side. This always happens when refreshing Excel reports (not in Perspectives itself). Our TM1 version is 9.4....

Re: VBA Worksheet change not taking into account new TM1 ent
What happens if you explicitly call TM1Recalc before triggering the TI process? If the only data that should change is the cell pointed to the DBRW, I don't see that this should matter but may be worth a try. Thanks for the idea of explicitly calling TM1Recalc but it does not work. It also sounds l...

Re: VBA Worksheet change not taking into account new TM1 ent
If you have a look around the forum there are plenty of other posts relating to the order in which DBRWs are executed, more so around the reason that you can't use 1 DBRW in the reference of another but I believe the same principles apply to what you are experiencing. Thanks for your answers. I kno...

VBA Worksheet change not taking into account new TM1 entry
Hello, I have an Excel slice, in which I want to intercept entries to launch a TI process. Each time a user entries a new data in a specific range of cells (containing DBRW formulas), I want a TI process to run to update some related data in an other cube. I use the VBA event Worksheet_Change, which...

Re: Time taken for Exact same view to refresh
It would be worth investigating the VMT and VMM parameters... just play about with them in dev and see what results you get would be my suggestion. I agree with declanr. I once met the problem, and increasing the VMM parameter solved it. Have you tried it? I guess it does not require a restart of t...

Re: Disconnect users before TI processes running
Thanks for your answers. Some ideas: a Set the security on the cube(s) to NONE at the beginning of the load and back to READ or WRITE when done; b Have a hidden slice where the data goes and a rule (& a feeder...) pulling the data to a public slice, controlled by a flag; c Use BulkLoadMode in th...

Disconnect users before TI processes running
Hi all, I know there is no disconnect function in TI, but I'd like to submit you my problematic, in case you have some ideas to solve it. I have an application where users send data via flat files. A treatment (ie several TI processes) is launched every 30 minutes, if new files have been sent. The t...
