Re: Active Form reports not generating ending columns PA 2.0.9.14 & PA 2.0.9.13

PS. What version did you jump from? Maybe there are some similarities..... I was upgrading from 2.0.9.11. We tested it on our dev server and things that are most important to us, TI processes and TM1Web, seemed to work. Our boss is one of the very few who use Perspectives and his usage slipped thro...

Re: Active Form reports not generating ending columns PA 2.0.9.14 & PA 2.0.9.13

I just found out about this problem in the worst way: after the production server is upgraded and a user (our boss) complained. It was not obvious in our environment because it does not affect TM1Web. I am going to pester IBM to get them fix this. I also need to do a better job testing.

TM1 Websheet Listbox Scrolling Error on Google Chrome

Hi All, I have this weird TM1 Websheet problem with Chrome that I have no clue how to resolve. I am using TM1 10.2.2 FP6 and Chrome is the latest version. (I can also reproduce this on the latest Microsoft Edge, which is also Chromium based.) On many of my Websheets I have a ListBox control that all...

Re: SSL breaks on Nov 24 (TM1 SSL Certificates Expire on 24 November)

I did the upgrade on one of our test servers by switching to using v2 certificates. I did try change the server clock forward and the result is I couldn't even login. (We use CAM authentication through BI against Active Directory. So it indeed is a bad idea.) When I check the certificate in Interne...

Re: SSL breaks on Nov 24 (TM1 SSL Certificates Expire on 24 November)

Hello, We are going to update our TM1 SSL Certification to avoid the planned expiration for the November 24th 2016. IBM recommands to roll ahead the server clock past November 24th 2016 to ensure that the product behaves as expected post expiration date. Any ideas about the impact of this action on...

Re: SSL breaks on Nov 24 (TM1 SSL Certificates Expire on 24 November)

Hi All, My organization is using TM1 10.2.2 FP5 and I am trying to decide whether to manually update the certs or to simply use the v2 certs. My question is, if I went the manual update route, do I need to go through this again if I reinstall TM1? (My assumption is "Yes".) On the other han...

Re: TM1 10.2.2 FP6

I haven't installed FP6 yet. I thought the release notes were up again but not the actual downloads. I tried temporary views/subsets when they were introduced in FP4 last year. At the time they didn't work. I am running FP5 right now and I didn't know the temporary view issue was already fixed. Last...

Re: TM1 10.2.2 FP6

Being able to use temporary views and subsets as source is a good fix. Graphs in TM1Web are still buggy though.. Looking at the fix list I think they only fixed the temporary subsets issue. We still can't use temporary views as data source. If they fixed that too that would be really awesome. I act...

Re: IBM Cognos Analytics 11.0

I am confused. We are using Cognos BI (10.2.2) with TM1. Is this the same thing? Did they just rename Cognos BI to Cognos Analytics and give it a new version number?

IBM needs to stop renaming their products all the time. I am having a hard time keeping track of what is what. :|

Re: TM1 10.3 - IBM Planning Analytics

I'm not sure if I should consider it a new feature. Remember temporary view/subset features that were added in 10.2.2 FP4, but will not work in TI as a data source? I actually submitted a service request to IBM asking about it. I was told they are planning to have them work in 10.3. I was hoping for...

Re: 10.2.2 Fix Pack 4 - Temporary Objects in TI

Hi,

lotsaram/upali, do you have the APAR numbers so I can follow them?

Temporary view is going to be very handy with what I'm working on. But like what upali said if I can't use it as a data source, err, I really don't know what to do with it. :?

Thanks.

Re: Your Experience with TM1 10.2.2 and IBM's Support

If you're describing what I think you are, then she needs a little work on her Excel-fu skills. What you're describing has always been an issue with data that came from pivot tables as well, which did not (before Excel 2010 I think it was) give you an option of having the row labels repeated. To ge...

Re: Your Experience with TM1 10.2.2 and IBM's Support

I first looked at this and have to admit I was on the side of IBM with the specific issue in question as I feel that TM1 Web 10.2 is an entirely different beast to 10.1 (and prior) and in my opinion a better one. With the case of snapshots now showing exactly what was rendered in the web as opposed...

Re: Your Experience with TM1 10.2.2 and IBM's Support

He may be right. The reason you don't see it in Planning Sample is because none of the example reports having an active form with multiple row dimensions (which is where they hide the duplicate elements by changing the cell background and font color. Once you create one like that in Planning Sample...

Re: Your Experience with TM1 10.2.2 and IBM's Support

I'm disappointed as anything that 10.2.2 Web is still a bugfest though. We can't stay on unsupported 9.5.2 (I don't care, others do) for next year's budget and if something as basic as slicing to Excel is borked then we can't go to 10.2.2 Web either. Which is a pity because 10.2.2 web actually rend...

Re: Your Experience with TM1 10.2.2 and IBM's Support

I'm not aware of an official statement, but generally speaking new versions of the TM1 server are backward compatibly with older versions of the clients (TM1Web, Perspectives, etc...). IBM will accept bugs if that doesn't work. The reverse however, is NOT true. You will likely hit errors if using s...

Re: Your Experience with TM1 10.2.2 and IBM's Support

TM1Web has ALWAYS been a strange animal and very buggy. The most buggy part of TM1Web, IMO, has always been merging cells, conditional formatting, and exporting. If you have extensive cell merging and/or conditional formatting then expect to have problems in TM1Web at some point. I've yet to see a ...

Re: Your Experience with TM1 10.2.2 and IBM's Support

I think your biggest issue is the amount of people on the latest version of web. Going to things like Vision and talking to other customers there are many users that are still no where near 10.2.2. Even in my company we went there for the server but not the web. We are testing it out but unfortunat...

Re: Your Experience with TM1 10.2.2 and IBM's Support

I cannot comment on specifics, but i might be able to bring this up later today with some IBM people who happen to be here. I do know a bit about the bug management process and 6-8 weeks is normal, also reasonable when you understand how that process works. I know that doesn't help us as end users ...
