In the normal LAN/WAN environment, TM1 clients communicate with the remote server using TCP/IP Network protocol.

If you use the ASCIIOutput function to write to the same file in multiple procedures (tabs) of a TurboIntegrator process, the file will be overwritten each time it is opened for a new procedure. Just give a try by enabling the "automatic recalulate " as ON in tm1 web config settings. Not sure , this might help !!

Indentation for TM1 dim file
Hi All ,
Is there any way in tm1 by which the dimension structure can be indented and exported ? The whole dimension structure should be indentend according to the dimension structure.

Hi All , The elements are getting added only once as per the TI . Hence I got a feeling that some elements are ignored by TI . Changed the TI so that it will check for parent and delete the element from the parent consolidation . Sorry that I could not provide all the needed information for you guys...

I was able to load the data with out the parent check . Checking on the file to see what is happening .

Clients and Groups have to be created in the 8 BI server (Cognos Connection). Then we need to pull them into TM1 and map them accordingly . The groups which are created in TM1 will not appear if the mode is integratedsecuritymode 5.

you might not need to create 1400 groups. Try to create it based on organization hierarchy or department structure or geography if any of these are available as a dimension in your application. For example Department structure has element named "HR" so there will be a HR group and all HR p...

assign different groups for planners , so that user XYZ has access only to Node C. Now XYZ will not be able to plan for other nodes.
