Re: Advice on training in Planning Analytics between jobs
Hi John, Yes, I agree it's a pain. Having said that, the trial won't cost you money - it just lets you know after 30 days that your time is up and would you like to throw some money at IBM? No credit card details are asked for. If you're still a bit hesitant, I have 16 days of a trial still to go an...

Re: Bedrock And Github vs Other Options
I'm with lotsaram and Ian here. Should there be a bedrock or something like it? Yes, and use it or not as you like. It's presence on a model would at the least be a marker that the developer had thought through his or her options. Is it a pain that Cubewise is advertised in the code? Well, maybe yes...

Re: Hold, Release Hold via Rest API or TI Process?
Yes, see https://www.tm1forum.com/viewtopic.php?t=14399 , where Wim describes how for a TI. It should be possible to do the same using the REST API as it's basically creating a control cube if it doesn't exist and then applying strings to one or more cells. Hi Martin,
I'm getting the same on Firefox, Edge and Chrome. I've cleared the cache on Edge, but no joy.
Thanks

Commercial and Events sub-forum has gone walkabout?
It may be just me, but the Commercial and Events link on the main page doesn't seem to be going anywhere.

Re: Remote desktop to IBM cloud with credentials
Yanking this one up from the grave: if you use an RDP manager like mRemoteNG then you can store the password as well as the username. Trick is to put the cloud url in the gateway parameter as well as the Hostname/IP parameter.

Re: PAX RefreshAllData()
Although if you read the whole link, this shouldn't be necessary. I'd be more concerned with getting the install right rather than amending the VBA code to partially fix something that's broken (and might fix itself in future, then giving you an issue with the VBA code that now no longer works).

Re: PAX Addin not displaying correctly
Yes. I had the same issue and this is what IBM Support told me: Just talked to development, they said that the ribbon name issue is a known issue by them and they're trying to fix it ASAP. It's caused by a missing language folder that doesn't get extracted properly during the install. You can either...

Hi Wim,
It's version-related - from 11.0.56 I don't think it will give you the confirmation messages.

Hi Wim,
Yes, I agree it's a PITA. I haven't found a way round it, but I then haven't looked into it too far. Have you raised a ticket on IBM for it?

Re: citrix crashes with ISB view
I'm afraid you're not going to get a lot of traction on this question - Citrix/Perspectives is a bit of a burning platform all-in-all. What happens if you straight RDP into the server, or even directly on the server? Do the ISB views work in Excel there? If so, it's a Citrix issue, and there's not m...

Re: preventing automatic restart of databases after monthly maintenance
Thanks Ceren. I did play around with stopping the service per Steve's suggestion, but the service isn't on the box we have access to or, as IBM points out, we don't have enough rights, so I think that's a no-go as well.

Re: preventing automatic restart of databases after monthly maintenance
Nice idea Steve, and I tested it, but "ServerShutdown shuts down a server running as an application. ServerShutdown cannot be used to shut down a server running as a Windows service."In the chore call a TI that shuts the DB down using ServerShutDown(SaveData);

Re: Moving data between Version dimension
You might want to have a look at Bedrock, which has a specific TI for this which would save you re-inventing the wheel. If nothing else, it will give you an idea of what the code could or should look like.

It's a good question, and I have the same problem - I just haven't got round to raising the ticket. Can you let me know what they say?
