Re: TM1 10.2 Unable to change Install Directory

I have just found this in Planning Analytics Local 2.0.9.1, trying to install client software separately from the server install.

Has anyone raised this as an issue to IBM ?

Changing the registry worked (thanks 'hittony') but this should not be necessary.

Re: Xcelerator VBA API CAM Server Connect

Thank you for posting this jrizk. I am now looking at this in order to convert VBA applications to work under Cognos Express. Can you explain the function parameters for this example ? [hPool] - Is this the value pool that is normally created for a user (such as the return from 'TM1SystemOpen') ? [v...

Cognos Express rollback from 10.1 to 9.5

We are currently conducting tests on CX 10.1 regarding install, configuration and operational differences from 9.5. I am wondering, however, if anyone has any experience or knows of any issues or points to watch out for regarding reverting back to CX 9.5 after an install of 10.1 and transferring the...

Creating a subset by filtering cube values

Hi, I am trying to create a subset for all those elements for which the cell value for those elements starts with some specified text. The cube I am using is basically a 2 dimensional cube were the last dimension consists of 2 elements ; one a string element that holds the name and another a numeric...

CX Report studio - using TM1 dimension in 'Value Prompt'

I have created a Cognos Express report in Report Studio (Professional Authoring mode) which is based on a datasource based on the CXMD server. At the top of the report I have a 'Value prompt' that allows the user to select an element from one of the dimensions - the purpose being to filter the repor...

Re: 9.5.1: Relative Proportional Spread Error

Is the error message "Spreading failed due to conflicts with rules" ?

If this is the case the following IBM article may be the solution:

Re: VBA 'Evaluate' function generates an 'Error 2015'

Thank you rmackenzie for all you comments. To answer your last question ; specifying the DBRW arguments as string literals works every time - which is why I suspected that Excel was 'misundertanding' the data types when it evaluated the formula. I do know about the limits to TM1's datatypes and Exce...

Re: VBA 'Evaluate' function generates an 'Error 2015'

Yes that certainly does seem like a plausable explanation. I have, however, setup the same system (TM1 server + VBA system + same OS ) in a virtual machine and that statement does not error. If your suggestion is correct Steve I would expect it to happen all the time. I am wondering if this is someh...

Re: VBA 'Evaluate' function generates an 'Error 2015'

Sorry lotsaram obviously my previous reply to you wasn't commited for some reason. Yes I have checked all the basic stuff such as an active connection, the user is logged in and I have the correct security privillages. Although as it works 'in cell' in the same session these basic requirements would...

VBA 'Evaluate' function generates an 'Error 2015'

I am trying to check the value on a report has not changed since the report was generated. To do this I have the calculation in Excel set to manual and I am comparing the current value of the DBRW formula with the value contained withing the formula's cell. I am using Excel 2003. I have one specific...
