Re: TM1 Perspectives on High Definition (Retina Screens)

It is possible to 'fix' this in Architect by going to tm1a.exe properties, compatibility settings, and selecting Override High DPI behaviour Scaling performed by System. Still looking into perspectives.

Re: Cube logging settings different to control cube

I have found this in the past. The Security Assignments appears to be the primary security source, with the control cube reflecting changes after 20 min or so (or a server reset). I used rules in the control cube that did not immediately update in the Security Assignments, but did given the opportun...

Re: Automatic cube data validation.

You have me stumped. I have absolutely no idea what exactly you are trying to do or why. Maybe try explaining step by step with some illustrations? ditto - you could look at creating a validation cube, or put some conventions such as using long numbers as the dimension? order(i.e. 1400), so that th...

Re: YTD rule calculation?

Hi Good work. I can't see any improvements, I would expect that you may / may not need to refine the conditional statement over time, but this is normal as the model changes. There are alternative ways that require more complex formulas, but I think this is the cleanest from a logical / user perspec...

Re: YTD rule calculation?

YTD = N: DB(Cube,DIMNM('Mth',DIMIX('Mth',!mth)-1),'YTD') + ['Mth']; 1. You can create two attributes; one for the rule (P-1), one for the feeder (P+1) 1a. Meaning the above could be restated as: YTD = N: DB(Cube,ATTRS('Mth','P-1),'YTD') + ['Mth']; Feeder: Mth => DB(Cube,ATTRS('Mth','P+1'),'YTD'); Ho...

Re: moving data from one month to another month

I am not sure what your "all periods" refer to. I would say without knowing the answer to this question that it is likely to cause you problems. You need to be careful with period dimensions as it is easy to create a circular reference (i.e. the element is equal to the sum). What about? ['...

Re: How to write DB function in rules if cubes have differen

I would assume that you have appropriate metadata as attributes to the dimensions in the first cube that are used to populate the second. From here there are two options; 1. is there any reason why the second cube can't be populated from the first one using a TI process (this is likely to be signifi...

How about restructuring the cube to have year in a separate dimension from months / days?

Re: Element weight changed when copying and pasting element

Element weight is contextual, and an element will have independent weights for each instance. This is great when using TM1 to restate accounts or perform calculations. I would assume that it would default to a weight of 1 when being moved as Tm1 would need further instruction as to what the desired ...

Re: ***URGENT **** Error Registering object - while running

If I remember rightly, you should be able to 'type' in 'admin' text in the security assignments window for the processes, into the grid, rather than selecting it (as it is greyed out) on the bottom of the window.

I hope this makes sense.
