Re: Reducing Time to Process Feeders
Your stats do look like there is some massive overfeeding going on How exactly do you see that from the stats table? They have ca 36x so many fed cells as numeric. so what if there are 36 currencies calculated from local currency with rules :D I understand that from earlier posts it turns out it ma...

new cube view slicing feature in CAFE 10.3
Hi Recently I wrote only about bugs in 10.3, so here is a nice new feature now: you can slice an existing view in CAFE to a DBRW-based worksheet. Until now you had to create such sheets in Perspectives by exporting a cube view, or if working in CAFE then enter the dbrw formulas manually in Excel. No...

Re: Migration to Planning Analytics (TM1 11)
Hi also be sure you test all your action buttons on the web after the upgrade. For us, dozens of them broke, when user click on them the processes are simply not executed, some of them also lost the server references; we had to recreate them one by one. Yes, just realized OpsConsole does not work wi...

Re: 10.3 - Issues with rules in the }Groups and }Clients dims
Added a test user group with the prefix UG_, and then the rule:
[] = S: IF(!}Groups @= 'UG_' | !Companies , 'WRITE' , 'NONE');
did not help.
[] = S: IF(!}Groups @= 'UG_' | !Companies , 'WRITE' , 'NONE');
did not help.

Re: 10.3 - Issues with rules in the }Groups and }Clients dims
Hi Yes we did open a ticket. Thanks Paul for your advise, I had literally just a few minutes to fix this as users were waiting to access their reports. So just fixed it in 10 mins and did not think of further solutions yet, but your idea is well worth a try! Btw, also be sure you test your action bu...

10.3 - Issues with rules in the }Groups and }Clients dims
Hi Just upgraded to 10.3 Planning Analytics, and wanted to call your attention to test your rules in cubes with the }Clients and }Groups dimension. We use native security, and for example this has no effect in an element security for Companies dim: [] = S: IF(!}Groups @= !Companies , 'WRITE' , 'NONE...

Re: CurrentMember in CAFE
Hi Seems to be a bug, if I open the subset editor in CAFE, click on the MDX icon, and amend the subset by just adding a simple space, it starts working. So I think it won't be related to CurrentMember, much more how CAFE renders the dynamic subset, although not sure yet what kind of mdx expressions/...

Re: showing attributes in a column field
Hi I think Projects is a classical example where it is good to have some String elements in the measure dimension so that you can display qualitative data in a cube view; or you can go on with David's advise, but it means you are restricted to websheets. If your attributes are short enough, i.e. jus...

Re: Migration to Planning Analytics (TM1 11)
Hi, We plan to do it in ca. 2 weeks time, but we will stay on native TM1 authentication as there are features that do not work currently with IBM Id. So in our case it will be just a "usual" TM1 upgrade to a higher version (which is 10.3 and not 11 I think), we will not use any of the new ...

Thanks Paul!
Actually, that is one of my main points to consider if I want to use one merged, or two dimensions, found some pros/cons for both. If I understand correctly your suggestion means the one dimension approach.

Hi, I have a usual requirement in an OPEX cube when a user selects a Cost Center from the title dimension, only the relevant Expense lines should appear on the rows. We have done this many times in Web an Perspectives, worked fine. There is a small parameter cube with Cost Centers and Expenses, put ...

Re: Planning to TM1 using Performance Modeler
Hi I am 100% with lotsaram; forget the automatic migration, or at very least rethink the model how you can improve it with TM1. I have done >5 migrations from Planning to TM1, some of these were fairly big models, we redesigned the model every time as Planning models were designed at least so much t...

Re: Compile error in Hidden Module
Hi This message may come up when you install an incorrect Perspectives version in terms of 32/64 bit. I.e. if the Excel is 32 bit but you installed the 64bit client version Are you sure this is not your issue? "I searched for the error but could not find "C:\Windows\SysWOW64\MSCOMCTL.OCX&q...

Re: TM1RunTI on the Cloud
Hi Just a quick update: TM1RunTI works with native security. Native security is still available in Planning Analytics, but for BI (which is also included in PA with TM1 data sources only, but a really nice feature!) IBM ID is required instead. So as long you do not use IBM IDs for authentication, yo...
