Re: URGENT - TM1 Data not updating
OK the first problem of user "Admin" not being able to update data is also resolved. After a couple of days of looking into various cubes (and pls note that I am just learning TM1), finally figured out that }ClientProperties cube was the place to look at and the element "Read only Use...

Workflow Failed to Create - "Value" dimension
Problem 1. Dimension create fails with error message "Dimension Save Failed". 2. Creation of new workflows or processes in the existing workflows fails with the error message "Workflow creation failed". Both these issues will come in V9.5 if there is a dimension named "Valu...

Re: URGENT - TM1 Data not updating
Thanks for the reply Marting. Let me add some more information now. After posting the message, we started dignosing it. We found that only with the "Admin" user id (part of the ADMIN group), we are not able to update the cube values. There is another user "Admin 1" that is part o...

Re: URGENT - TM1 Data not updating & Workflow problem
A couple of other problems that we are facing 1. We are not able to create dimensions. When we create dimensions directly thru Server Explorer, we get an error message saying "Dimension Save Failed". 2. We are not able to create new workflows or processes in the existing workflows. The sam...

URGENT - TM1 Data not updating
Hi All, We are getting a strange problem. Till yesterday our TM1 implementation was behaving normally. Today morning when we are trying to update values at leaf level cells, we are not able to do so. We are able to enter values in the leaf level cells, but when we recalculate, the entered value goes...

Re: Percentages vs Quantum - Best practices
Hmmm...one week and no response :-( Complaining about the lack of FREE help is certainly not going to endear yourself to anyone. Do you think the TM1 community has an obligation to answer all questions posted in this forum? :x @tomok If you hate me for being sad that I did not get a solution, so be...

Re: Goal Seeking in TM1
Btw just after posting this question, I realized this might be a very generic query - just like how to write a rule and FAQs section has cautioned against posting such generic queries, but I could not help in this case. I absolutely do not know anything about how to implement goal seeking in TM1 and...

Goal Seeking in TM1
Hi All,
Has any one used any form of goal seeking with a goal cube in TM1? Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Ashish

Percentages vs Quantum - Best practices
Hi All, I am a rookie and need both design as well as best practices guidance in this case. We have a finance application for a retail enterprise. Most of the cost line items are tracked at monthly basis while stock and sales are at daily basis. So there are two category of cubes that we have, the f...

Re: ATTRS in Rules
@kpk My first response was exactly what you have mentioned so I checked all the dimensions, elements and their attributes being used in the cube. But 2009 and 2010 are unique - they do not appear as alias or element in any dimension and so I was baffled. I could not overcome this error so in the end...

Re: ATTRS in Rules
I had to use the DAYS dimension because of some limitations - one of them as you mentioned below is TY vs LY is an YEAR dimension element. Any how, the break thru was I got to know the limitation, which when I removed as you suggested, everything worked fine. Thanks a lot for your help. On a differe...

Re: ATTRS in Rules
So as I understand, the limitation here is with ATTRS, not working with internal rule area notation.
Thanks for the response Michel. Let me try this out and see.
Thanks,
Ashish

Re: ATTRS in Rules
Small correction in the problem statement. The cube has following dimensions - EXPENSE ITEM, YEAR, MONTH, STORE, SCENARIO (Actual, Plan etc)
My mind was somewhere else.

ATTRS in Rules
Hi, I am new to TM1. Can some one pls tell what am I doing wrong here? I have an "Year" dimension with 2009, 2010, 2011... etc as elements. I also have another element "TY vs LY" in this dimension which should hold the This Year minus Last year value. I have another dimension &qu...
