IBM would love to move everything to RHEL today instead of tomorrow.
But I would rule out that IBM has any kind of viable roadmap.

Re: Mirantis mandatory for PAW

Hi, I don't know much about the subject either. I would approach the topic via any necessary support. What does IBM do if you have a problem and the whole thing runs under Docker CE - do they help or do they say: "take mirantis, then it works, if not we can help". If IBM is also happy with...

Hello Thomas,
You mean the one from the old Perspektives? I think it stopped working a few versions ago. I just tried it again - but it no longer works for me.

Hi,

I had to set my Excel settings to "Optimise for compatibility" (Datei->Optionen->Allgemein), then everything went well.

TM1Web disable Change password

Hello all, Does anyone know how I can customise the TM1Web start page so that the Change password selection or the Login option are not displayed? I know that there are some CSS files, but I am not sure where exactly I can adjust what. I haven't found anything in the search here either. Web.png Than...

Re: Element Security gets wiped - how to debug

Hi,

do you restart the database after setting the permissions?
If so, do you do a SaveDataAll before the restart?
If not, that could explain the loss.

Many, many thanks for your ideas! and many thanks for the speed you wrote back! The easiest way will be a second user for the Administrator. I'll discuss the solution with the planning department. Regards Mark The easiest way may be the second account, but the solution via the rules is more sustain...

it´s too bad that TM1 Web doesn´t support VBA coding in Excel. Nevertheless thank you for your Explanation.

That is indeed the case, but TM1 Web will not be around for that long. As with Perspectives, IBM is doing everything it can to kill it.

Re: Prevent Data Spread for ADMIN

Hi, in my opinion, you have two options. - The users with admin rights need a second user (without admin rights) that is used for planning, - You put the actual data on a separate data type and make a rule that writes the data of the actual months to the plan. As an example (if you only have one pla...

Hi Emixam,

you could use the "good old TM1Top" or you use the "Status" column in the }ClientProperties cube.

Re: Push Data Down into Another Cube Based on Attributes

Hi! Unfortunately, no conditions are possible on the left-hand side of a calculation rule. I curse that sometimes too.... You have to bring the logic to the right side. Something like this: ['Actual'] = N: IF(!MyDetailDim @= DB('}Elements_Attributes_MyHigherAggDim', !MyHigherAggDim, 'MyAttribute'), ...

Hi, I have the following idea. An example, a cube with three dimensions Organisation, version (planned, actual) and value type (eg. EUR....). In the dimension Value Type you create an element "EURTest" and make sure that the same calculation rules apply there as for the element EUR. In the...

Re: tm1xl error in perspectives (PA 2.0v)

Hi,

if you open any report via Architect the report open in Excel without Perspectives. You have to open Perspectives, connect to TM1 then open Server Explorer navigate to report and open it in Perspectives.

Hi,

i would go Davids way and remove the access to the cube.
But maybe the }StatsByCubeByClient cube could be usefull - it logs user/cube use.

Wim Gielis wrote: Sat Apr 10, 2021 2:27 pm Hi,

I haven't experimented with it (yet) but would be PAFE API be an alternative ? In the end it's VBA so not terribly difficult (I assume :-) )

There's code here: https://ibm.github.io/paxapi/#rest-api
and now in english
Hi,

could be. I'll take a closer look.

Re: Register process via RestAPI

Hello, i think it is better not copy the file hardly...When you have knowledge of REST API then call RestAPI Command to get Process Definition from SourceServer and then take these JSON Result and push it to your Target Server. I'm built that exactly in a ASP.NET Web Tool and these works. Copy from...

Re: Register process via RestAPI

I would suggest you to setup a new instance where you put all your process files. And In powershell, use Invoke-RestMethod to call the process endpoint to copy all processes over from the new instance. The syntax should be the same as what's been used in TM1py. Hi, I can already see that the idea o...

Re: Register process via RestAPI

I think your main problem is that you have the process file which is not in the format the rest api would expect. For the rest api to accept your ti you would have to extract all necessary information from the file and create the json file which the rest api expects. If it is just code without para...
