Security Issue...}tp_everyone
Hi All, and Happy Holidays. I am on 9.5.2 and created a TI Process to load security to the }ElementSecurity control cubes for about 3 different large account dimensions. The access was simply "write" or none at all. This is so each department/group has access to only the accounts that conc...

Re: Help on Security please...
Thanks Guys, This is actually for views in TM1 Contributor v9.5 and is a budget application, not read-only reporting. I think the answer is, what I am used to, and pictured, can be done, but a little knowledge transfer to the users and subset creation in TM1 Contrib is going to be the path of least ...

Re: Help on Security please...
What you can see as an admin is not so much relevant as what a user can see who has ONLY access to either dept 101 or 102 ... Right, but if a user has access to 4 departments, they open Dept 101, and there, they see ALL of the employees for their 4 departments, that's not going to fly. I guess I co...

Help on Security please...
Hi All, TM1 9.5 and Contributor 9.5 I'm trying to restrict the employees that can be viewed by Department. I have gone to my Element Security control cube for this employee list. So far, in that cube, I have defined the employees in these two departments; those in 101 and those in 102. Since I have ...

Help with importing Date please
Hi All, TM1 9.5 My date field in excel is in format *3/10/2010. My attribute in TM1 is mm/dd/yyyy. The sample in Turbo Integrator shows up as 2009-01-01 00:00:00. When I run my process I get an error that it cannot convert to a real number. I have the variable for date set to numeric and data. I sea...

Re: Can I write a feeder...
Peter...I had what should have been two dimensions mixed in one; for example, Rent - Amount to be Allocated. There should have been a dimension with the element 'Rent', and another with the element 'Amount to be Allocated'. I had built this application for this client in Cognos Planning originally, ...

Re: Help on feeder please...
Sorry for the confusion. The dimension name is 'G&A Expense Calc', not 'G&A Allocations'. I was trying to stick with my description in the first post. Below are the dimensions and the order they were assigned (I didn't assign the order originally) G&A Input Cube G&A Expense Calc Cube...

Thanks Pat...that was a typo, sorry about that. I'm still getting this invalid string error. I don't get it, I wrote several similar feeders yesterday.

Hmm..I tried that John and it's still not working. I even tried to do a simple one to one feeder and I'm getting the same error message. [{'701000 - Bank Service Charges']=> DB('G&A Allocations', !Version, !Department, !Country, !Month, !Portfolio, ‘Total – 701000 – Bank Service Charges’...

Help on feeder please...
Hi, all, Happy Friday. TM1 9.5 I keep getting an invalid string expression error on a feeder I'm trying to write. I have a G&A Input cube, and a G&A Allocation cube. I have a rule that brings in the values from the G&A Input cube into the G&A Allocation cube where the expenses are......

Re: Help with rule please...
Michel, The Total Office Equipment is a leaf level element in the Depreciation Allocation (target cube), so you are correct. There is a minor difference in the dimensionality, but should not have any impact. I'll explain in more detail, but you don't have to read unless you want. Portfolio! is a dim...

Re: Help with rule please...
I need to write a rule like this for about 10 asset types...the logic seems to make sense to me, I just can't get TM1 to agree.

Re: Help with rule please...
Hmm...it says invalid string expression. The rule now reads... ['Total Office Equipment' ] =N: IF (DB('Capex', !Version, !Department, !Country, !Month, !Portfolio TBD, !Capital Exp, 'Asset Type Cumul') @= 'Office Equipment', DB('Capex', !Version, !Department, !Country, !Month, !Portfolio TBD, !Capit...
