MODLR Webinar: Discover the Latest Product Updates
Hello TM1 Community, I thought it would be worthwhile sharing about some new functionality arriving at the end of the month to the MODLR platform. For those who are unaware of us, In 2013 I have taken my background in working with TM1 for 10+ years and decided to build a platform which is as fast an...

MODLR Software User Group #2
Hello TM1 Community, MODLR is having its second User Group online via Zoom. I thought I would share this one with the TM1 community for a couple of reasons - You may have noticed, TM1 served as some of the inspiration for MODLR. I'll be sharing our 2021 Roadmap. One of our customers will also be sho...

Webinar - MODLR - The Corporate Performance Cloud
Hi TM1 Forum Community, The last time I posted on this forum, was in April 2015 (I won’t link to it but you can find it if you go looking) and at the time, I was frustrated with the limited capabilities of other CPM platforms. I came to the realisation if I wanted a better solution, I would have to ...

Re: Cognos TM1 and Bugs
My question is this: How many of you actually go thru the list of enhancement requests to vote on it? I sure don't have the time to do that... Are we talking about the list of 110 requests where only 2 requests have been completed over the five months the register has been active? Of the 2 complete...

Re: Cognos TM1 and Bugs
In recent discussion with an IBM Support rep, at least one of the issue is how IBM is redefining what a defect is to make their internal KPIs look better than it really is... therefore less actual defects get fixed. That doesn't sounds like IBM at all! The back end developments in the 10.x series s...

Is Cognos TM1 getting better?
Don't know about you but I remember a time when the "Bugs" on the forum we're more user error than software problems. Having a quick look around now, it looks like it's mostly software errors. This should make a good poll and good discussion: In your opinion, are the theoretical billions o...

Re: TM1 10.2 Available for Download
Yeah, maybe someone should do a performance test of TM1Web 10.1 vs 10.2. They are certainly getting more mature. Along with the new features are bug fixes and also changes which make the front-end flow a lot smoother for developers. There are things that will always bother me about it but only from ...

We were going to add some more applications to the mobile contributor portal for general access but have run into a minor roadblock.

Re: TM1 10.2 Available for Download
We've conducted some tests on the performance gains under the new version - Results here . To cut a long story short the performance is enhanced directly by the number of CPU Cores as expected. However, this has only effected the actual calculation of cells - Rule saves and server load take the same...

Re: TM1 10.2 Available for Download
On a related note. The TM1 Contributor iPad application is out now on iTunes! Its a free application which can be used with TM1 10.2 to contribute to plans within TM1. Since we don't all have TM1 10.2 servers lying around we have set up a sample TM1 10.2 server which you can gain access to here . Co...

Re: TM1 10.2 Available for Download
We've released an overview of the changes here . Please note that there are a lot of changes this time around and for the better in my opinion. I would say the key things to note are: Single Requests are now multithreaded (divide your view calculation time by the number of CPU Cores you have and tha...

Re: When to use SaveDataAll?
I'm with Alan on this one. We had a really... really bizarre situation where we had a large data load (45min +) with a SaveDataAll in its epilog. We also had a 4 hourly SaveDataAll Chore Scheduled. When the two overlapped (The chore kicking of while historic data was loading), the loading TI would n...

Re: TM1 Automated Report Generation Tools/Processes
You could use an executable called from a TI Process to schedule excel reports to run (and email). One of our consultants has done this for a client. I'll try get him to document it sometime next week and put it on the blog.
