Re: non-admins edit permission to 1 dimension via PAW ?

Hi tsw Presumably, you are aware that if the user accidentally deletes an element, that they lose the data from the cubes, not just the element? Even if the element is a consolidation, deleting it will take it out of subsets, that can then affect views and in turn processes. It can also invalidate ...

Re: non-admins edit permission to 1 dimension via PAW ?

Hi We provide the ability for users to update dimensions, but not directly. In my view it is easy enough for an experienced developer to make a mistake using the Dimension Editor, let alone an end-user. In our situation we have many contributors with their own local chart of accounts. They need to ...

Hi Declan,
Yes, I changed role in PAW to Modeler, but that still doesn't work in PAW.
Thanks for your suggestion!

non-admins edit permission to 1 dimension via PAW ?

I'm having trouble giving edit permission on one single dimension thru Planning Analytics Workspace . The non-admin user is ABLE to edit the dimension via Architect, but gets an insufficient rights to update dimension error via PAW. Has anyone come across this requirement and was able to configure s...

Re: TI MDX query of 2 different cubes

You can use calculated members in MDX. SO why not do a "with member as cubeA() * cubeB()" in your MDX query. Use that as the ODBO data source for your process on server2. well, I wished I knew this.. as this was the syntax I was looking for in my orig post. I couldn't find anything online...

Re: TI MDX query of 2 different cubes

Hi all, sorry for the late response. Clarification: I needed to mdx query and multiply server1.cubeA() * server1.cubeB() data to load into server2.cubeC I think some suggestions of exporting cubeA data and then reading it back to multiply by cubeB data before loading into server2 will work. But sinc...

Re: TI MDX query of 2 different cubes

Since I can't do this in a single mdx query or process...
Maybe I can query cubeA() and get ResultA
then pass it into a sub-TI process and multiply ResultA with result of ResultB to load?
There's only a single row returned for each call of ResultA.. does this sound okay?

Re: TI MDX query of 2 different cubes

A TI process can only have one cube as a data source so the standard way of handling this is to have one cube as the data source (the one with the main intersection of cells you are trying to process) then in the Data tab of that process you issue a CELLGETN against the secondary cube to get it's v...

TI MDX query of 2 different cubes

Hopefully, this is an easy question for someone out here: I'm needing to ODBO mdx query a result from a TI process of data from 2 cubes (in same TM1 server) from a different TM1 server. cubeA(dim1,dim2,dim3) and cubeB(dim1,dim2) Is there syntax that allows me to either: do a calculated member like &...

Re: Does anyone know how to run 2 PAW instances on same server?

I suggest you log an RFE for PAW Local to support more than one environment (as it does on Cloud) -- i.e., dev / test/ prod tenants. Upcoming PAW releases will run on orchestration engines (Swarm/Kubernetes). Does submitting a RFE require support's help? it seems these new crop of first-level suppo...

Re: Does anyone know how to run 2 PAW instances on same server?

If IBM had made PAW ... Right, IMO, IBM made a mistake architecting this application in Docker without keeping this in mind. I was hoping someone on here who has more experience with Docker has done this already... I have a really powerful physical server which can run multiple containers without h...

Re: Does anyone know how to run 2 PAW instances on same server?

Out of curiosity. Why would you want to? IMHO, not being able to do this misses a major goal of application virtualization.. I believe one of the goal of Docker is to make virtualization more computing efficient by sharing the O/S host and financial efficiency by not having to pay for multiple oper...

Hi,

Does anyone have experience running multiple PAW instances on the same server? If so, can you please share what configurations need to be edited in order to do so?

Thanks!

Re: How do you deal with this BI reporting / TM1 feeder issu

Given Brian's results, I am just wondering if you have AllowSeparateNandCRules in your TM1S.CFG? Good point. I did my test without AllowSeparateNandCRules set. If I set that config param I never see the column get zero suppressed. Hi Paul, Brian, I do have AllowSeparateNandCRules=T, and I tried put...

Re: How do you deal with this BI reporting / TM1 feeder issu

I just ran a quick test using the latest 10.2 rp2 fp3... Using these lines in the rule, the entire 'C' column is zero supressed ['C'] = N: ['A'] \ ['B']; ['C'] = C: ['A'] \ ['B']; However, if I replace that with the single rule line ['C'] = ['A'] \ ['B']; or even ['C'] = N: ['A'] \ ['B']; C: ['A'] ...

Re: Error opening Perfomance modeler-

I have this in one of my dev TM1 10.1.1 servers... I haven't had time to troubleshoot it... but as Sukumar suggested, I believe it has something to do with corrupted data as that server didn't start up correctly due to an unexpected hardware shutdown.
