Upgrading from 10.2.2 to Planning Analytics Local

I'm curious if anyone has experiences they can share about upgrading from 10.2.2 to Planning Analytics Local. We're on 10.2.2 FP7 right now and over the next year will be exploring upgrading to PAL and I'm curious about the level of work involved and how big a project it would be, and any impacts we...

10.2.2 FP7 - increased time for feeder processing on restart

We just upgraded to FP7 on our production server this weekend and as a result one of our cubes that already had a very long processing time for feeders on restarts now is taking significantly (~40%) longer. Some other cubes are also taking 20-30% longer, however those cubes took a lot less time to p...

TM1 Applications don't show up for non-admin users

I'm wondering if anyone else has encountered this issue - according to IBM they don't have reports of it from other customers, but it is a continuous problem for us and we're still trying to work with them on a solution. We're on 10.2.2, FP3. We use app_maintenance to reimport application rights eac...

Re: Locked Application Node and TI Data Load

Well if the server crashes I think we have a bigger problem than users having admin rights, as at that point no one will have any access at all.... Anyway, I think we may also have the remove admin rights process scheduled in a startup chore as well, which would cover that case, although this is a g...

Re: Locked Application Node and TI Data Load

I had forgotten I posted this, but what we ended up doing was within the TI process that's updating the cube, we first run a TI process that gives the user executing it admin rights, then we make the updates to the cube, and then we take the admin rights away. We also created a nightly TI process th...

Re: Locked Application Node and TI Data Load

I know this is an old thread, but we're encountering the same problem where we need users to be able to run a TI process that updates a cube used in our Contributor application, and specifically they need to do that when the node is locked. In 9.5.2 this wasn't a problem, but it won't work in 10.2.2...

Has anyone used ForgeRock OpenAM Policy Agent for Web SSO?

We currently use ForgeRock OpenAM Policy Agent for Web SSO for non-TM1 applications (such as PeopleSoft), and want to implement this for TM1 as well (version 10.2.2). We use CAM security for TM1, with Cognos BI runtime to manage the TM1 security. Does anyone have any experience with using ForgeRock ...

Re: Problems with FixPack3 Cognos TM1 9.5.2

Thanks for the reminder to provide an update! I can't tell you the exact circumstances this occurs under, since I assume some people did not have this problem, otherwise IBM would have had to fix it at a more global level. However they did get back to me and acknowledge it was a defect and provided ...

Re: TM1 Web and STET

I may be off base here, but we encountered what I think is the same problem, when we tried installing FP3 for 9.5.2, which is the version you're on. Basically in most cubes you couldn't enter numeric data in TM1 Web, but Architect worked fine. IBM has confirmed it's a defect - I've posted more infor...

Re: Problems with FixPack3 Cognos TM1 9.5.2

We have this same problem. I posted about it somewhere on this forum, but can't seem to find the post right now, but was going to post an update anyway. We reported this to IBM and I heard back last week, they have indicated it's a defect - the APAR is PM81369: https://www-304.ibm.com/support/entdoc...

Re: TM1 9.5.2 FP3 has been released

I'm curious if anyone has installed FP3 and if they have encountered any problems. We have installed it on our server, and in TM1 Web we can no longer enter data for numeric elements, for most of our input cubes. They are greyed out, as if there is a rule or security on them. All string elements wor...

Re: Element security - where is WRITE access required?

Sorry for the delay in replying. This workaround doesn't work for us. The new (copied) sandbox has the same problem. However in our case we also never get any kind of an error related to security, and the issues we encountered weren't related to security changes (our security setup was never changin...

Re: Corrupt sandboxes and C8 Security in 9.5.2

hxp417, can you clarify what you meant by "that is not true" in your post? I wasn't sure if you meant it was true, or was not true, that a user needs WRITE access to all cells which will be updated by the data commit. tomok, are you saying that as long as other cells affected by the data c...

Re: Element security - where is WRITE access required?

Quick update on this, since I mentioned it on another thread... We changed our security rules to give users WRITE access to all elements that could be updated by their changes, even indirectly. So far that seems to have fixed the problem - I haven't been able to reproduce the problem of a user being...

Re: Corrupt sandboxes and C8 Security in 9.5.2

I had forgotten to update this post, so thanks for reminding me. It turns out for us that apparently security is the problem (here's a thread I started on questions about that: http://www.tm1forum.com/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=7719 We can't exactly prove it, but supposedly FP2 does fix the main corrup...

Re: Element security - where is WRITE access required?

You are correct with how you've read what I've written. The only difference might be that IBM is not explicitly saying that you must have WRITE access to 'a' in order to WRITE to 'b' or 'c'. But IBM is implying this, in saying that security in our model is causing the problem, and specifically it is...

Element security - where is WRITE access required?

We are encountering problems where users in Contributor are unable to commit their sandbox data. Initially they don't have a problem, but at some point many users encounter an issue where their changes remain in blue font, and their data isn't committed. We reported the issue to IBM, and have been t...

Corrupt sandboxes and C8 Security in 9.5.2

I'm looking to find anyone else who is using Contributor and C8 Security for 9.5.2, and has encountered issues with corrupt sandboxes, resulting in users being unable to commit their data. This issue is supposed to be fixed in Fix Pack 2 (per PM45586 ). We are on 9.5.2 Fix Pack 1 and are having prob...
