Another way is to build a cube with the following dims: Column # (sequence of numbers that match the excel columnns) Column list (contains the different lists of column values - dynamic aspect) Measures (the actual values you want in your active form report columns) Clients (optional - control dimen...

Re: Microsoft Access as an ODBC Connection
For anyone reading this in the future....
Solution for using Microsoft Access is to make sure to have 64 bit of Microsoft Office and Access installed. Then install the add in for Access "Microsoft Access Database Engine 2010" 64 bit. Then create a 64 bit driver off Access.

Re: Microsoft Access as an ODBC Connection
Thank you Tomok, David and Alan for your replies. I will likely advise to make the transfer over to SQL Server Express. I was unaware that this was a free option for databases smaller than 10 GB. Allan, when we open our CSV file it says that the 1.1 million row limit has been reached. Any rows below...

Re: Drill Thru Cube - DB Transactions - Invoice
Thanks for your responses. (End) users are currently being encouraged to use TM1 Web to provide the pivoting (adhoc) capability that Perspectives can't easily handle (without going into architect/server explorer). One interface at a time. However, its good to know Perspectives is an alternative, hel...

Microsoft Access as an ODBC Connection
Hello! My client has been using a CSV as a data source for their TM1 model but they have reached the limit for number of rows. To save costs, they would like to use Microsoft Access as their data source. I switched a dimension build process to connect with Microsoft Access through the ODBC connectio...

Drill Thru Cube - DB Transactions - Invoice
Hi All, I wanted to see whether anyone has established a streamlined process for drilling through to invoices. We are currently on version 10.2.2 FP3, Windows 2008 R2 (moving to Windows 2012 in a month). Requirement Drill from cube to transactions to invoice. Transactions are sourced from a database...

Re: TM1 & CAFE
Hi All, I am just doing an assessment of TM1 Perspectives/Web versus CAFE. Has anyone been able to get the drill thru/process to work? I have read through the forum, looked at the user guide, played around with CAFE and it seems the drill thru functionality isn't there yet? Maybe I am missing someth...

Re: TM1 App:Approver can not release consol node after ownin
The issue has been resolved. This was for TM1 10.1.1 FP3
Cause
The Users were Administrator's on one TM1 instance and Non-Administrator's on another.
Resolution
Ensure users are either Administrators or Non-Administrators across all TM1 Instances (at least for this version).
Regards
Lance

Hi bunchukokoy,
I am getting the same error as you described, did you ever figure out what was causing the issue? And did you have to develop a workaround?
Thanks
Lance

Cognos Express 10.2 Fix Pack 3 Install Issues
Hi All, We are having issues installing Cognos Express 10.2 Fix Pack 3 and the recommendation for IBM Support is to re-install. I would like to avoid this option as we are a week away from go-live. We have Fix Pack 1 installed but require Fix pack 3 in order to correctly install Xcelerator Client on...

TM1 Applications - Rejecting Multiple Nodes
Hi All, Does anyone know if its possible to reject multiple nodes within the Workflow Hierarchy (TM1 Application)? There are several nodes (75) under one parent and rather than rejecting each one individually we would like to reject all at once. We are using Cognos Express 10.2 Appreciate your respo...

Re: Rolling 12 Months having separate Month & Year Dimension
There is an alternative. You could include a third time dimension in your cube to calculate your rolling 12 months or any other relative time you may require. You would need to create/define the rules for each relative time period but it would provide the flexibility to select your month/year and se...

Hi All, I am having an issue displaying actions button within excel sheets over Tm1 Web in the Production environment (which is setup with 2 servers, Web server and Data Server – they are running using the same services account). Re: Action Button - Using a cell reference for the Tm1 Serve
It’s probably best if I provide a bit of background The project is a migration from EP to TM1 and a lot of the design from EP was incorporated into the TM1 model. I came onto the project to finish a bit of development and carry it into UAT/ Production and deliver training (given the time I would hav...

Thanks Lotsaram, that solved the issue. I don't change the server name I create a whole new TM1 server and new Tm1 Applications which are then used for the current year budget.

Thanks for the responses.
ET - The audit log doesn't contain the information I require. I just need changes in cube values.
Duncan P - Thanks for the script...this should definitely come in handy.
